Comparing this hotel to others we've visited in Turkey, it ranks the worst so far. The number of issues we encountered was surprisingly high, and communication with the reception was a complete disaster. How is it possible, in such a touristy location, that you can't communicate in English? The hotel clearly prioritizes communication in German, so if you speak German, you can handle everything. However, if you use English, you'll need a translator or must find one specific staff member at reception who can communicate in English, and even they aren't always present.
We were given rooms in the hotel's side building, which I advise against. The state of the finish, dirt, and malfunctions will hit you immediately after unpacking. On the first day, right after unpacking and taking a shower, the entire bathroom was flooded. There was a puddle on the floor because water was leaking from the wall-floor joint near the toilet. We reported the issue to the reception, a man came and applied mortar at the leak site and wiped up the puddle with our towels. The doors didn't close properly, the room cards constantly malfunctioned, the room doors had dirty stains, and walking barefoot on the floor turned our feet black. Our dissatisfaction was so bad that we managed to change rooms to those in the main building, mainly thanks to our travel agency representative.
To not only give negative information, a big plus is the sea, which had a sandy beach and a gentle slope. The food was also a big plus; everything was tasty and varied. The only downside was the number of guests relative to the restaurant's size. At dinner, there were queues for everything, and waiting to put anything on your plate was irritating. Often, we gave up on dinner. Coming later didn't help because the restaurant was almost empty of food.
The pools and slides were a plus. There was a large variety of slides and attractions for children. However, it would be useful to have at least one lifeguard to monitor the queue and children at the larger water park because kids were sitting in the slides, and it's surprising that no tragedy occurred (we had three situations of bumping into kids who were just sitting inside the slides, despite waiting a long time and checking if anyone was coming down).
Sunbeds... the biggest annoyance of hotels. Despite the rules stating that reserving sunbeds with towels is not allowed, this is not enforced. So, either you reserve sunbeds with towels yourself or you won't have a place to sit (this only applies to the pools; oddly enough, the sunbeds by the sea were mostly empty). Cleanliness in the rooms leaves much to be desired. It feels like vacuuming and mopping are done selectively because, despite leaving tips, dust bunnies and floor stains remained. The air conditioning in the side building worked better than in the main building, where temperature regulation was ineffective, and it was so cold at night that we had to open the balcony door.
Non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks were a big plus, and I can highly recommend the bar and waiter staff. They were the only hotel employees without any complaints. The shuttle bus driver to the sea deserves the highest tips in the entire hotel! Always smiling, kind, and running more frequently than every 15 minutes. The bus from the neighboring hotel also took guests from Dream Water World and back, so big applause for the drivers. The hotel is in a good location, with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants within a 10-minute walk.
In summary, the hotel is nice, family-friendly, with tasty food and a great location, but there are major flaws that are glaring and shouldn't occur at this price point. If I had to spend two weeks without leaving the hotel, I would be very dissatisfied. The sea, sandy beach, and nearby shops and walking areas significantly save my opinion of this hotel. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to my friends—there are better hotels in the area for...
Read moreWe spent 10 days at Dream Water World and although the resort looks nice from the outside, our overall experience was very negative. The biggest issue was the staff – rude, unprofessional, and often outright unpleasant. Sadly, there was a clear bias in favor of German guests. If you’re not German, you’re treated as a second-class guest. Most of the staff doesn’t speak English and makes no effort to communicate. Many times we were ignored or dismissed with a shrug.
The pools were dirty, often with visible floating debris. Guests smoked and drank alcohol inside the pools, and we even saw drinks being poured directly into the water. The staff did nothing to stop it. Our baby got sick during the stay – the doctor diagnosed the rash she developed from the pool as a bacterial infection, most likely from the pool water. All of our children were sick with fever, rushes etc.!
Entertainment was very poor and entirely focused on German tourists – all announcements and shows were in German only, and there was no effort to include anyone else. At 11 PM, music was automatically turned off and lights in the common areas were shut down, seemingly to push people to go to their rooms even if they were quietly chatting.
Bar service was another low point – the staff acted like they were being forced to work, refused to serve certain drinks, and were generally unpleasant. The cocktails does not looked nice and tasted good.
Food was ok.
We returned home deeply disappointed and with bad memories. This is definitely not a hotel we would return to, and we do not recommend it to anyone expecting respect, cleanliness, and a...
Read moreFirst of all i want to give a big shout out to some people in the animation team. Specially BELLA is amazing, she kept finding us to come do activities. Was injured herself but still gave it her best! Lots of love and respect for this beautifull lady who made a big positive impact on our holiday, you can see that she loves what she does and does not just do it for the money! Next would be CHRIS also from the animation team, always lots of energy and a positive attitude! Their boss DENIZ keeps a close eye on everything and wants everyone to have a great time, came to us when he saw my boy had a problem during one of the activities and tried to solve it immidiatly.
The hotel is very big, lots to do for the children and adults. The slides are amazing, unfortunatly some where out of service in the time we went. There are to many to count! The lifeguards keep a close eye on everyone and are also in for some fun with the children.
Food i was not to thrilled about, the space is small compared to the hotel size which makes long lines, it was also scattered all over the place. I didnt find there to be to much diversity in food either. The waiters work hard but are also assuming tips, which i am not to fond off. I want to choose who i feel deserves a tip more then feeling like its something i should be doing. Cleaners always did a great job! Overall a great hotel for children, and if they have fun the parents can relax!
A big thank you to Bella, Chris and Deniz for making our holiday...
