Sidekum Hotel — Hotel in Manavgat

We have stayed in Side Kum Hotel between 6-17 of August.||Area: great for shopping and 500m away from the beach.||Reception service: hit and miss. We were met by very friendly staff, but staff in other shifts are unhelpful would not convey our transfer time message and frankly think of themseves too much. We reported slightly blocked drain to reception straight after arrival and they done nothing about it until the next evening, when we came to complain in person to reception about it. The Reception area is non air conditioned, which is really unacceptable in Turkey summer climate temperatures.||Room cleanliness and condition: we were allocatet top floor room, which I can only describe as maisonette or attick room, with reduced ceiling height, decor damaged by water ingress and in a need of repair and stinky balcony area, the good thing was a sea view. It is definetely NOT a 5* room cleaning service, no folded towles and mini bar water was only restocked upon request, bedding had wear holes in it, cleaner barely changed bedding and mopped the floor.||Restaurant: good cleanliness, lots of choice of fresh food for any taste, waiter staff are all super helpful. I really enjoyed it. The restaurant area is barely if at all air-conditioned, which at times is unplesatly sticky to be in.||Pool area: customers are allowed to leave their belongings on sun beds overnight, this leads to long-term booking of some sun beds by some inconsiderate customers and at any given time 70% of sun beds have towels on them, however they are not occupied, which is super-annoying. Some area of the main pool should be designated for adult only to avoid inconvenience of kids screaming and splashing.||Garden: generally okay'ish, with overgrown main walk path, safety lighting adequate, infested with stray cats.||Entertainment: pool soap party great, some disco got only old school music which is rediculous, pool polo games are great and very competitive, kids spoon-diving is genious way to keep overly active swimmer kids occupied.||Verdict: 3* hotel priced...

Came here for one week with my partner Scottish /Turkish... Besides myself there was only one other scot in the hotel, predominantly Dutch guests, and everyone was lovely, no problems in communicating with anyone, guests or staff as English is widely spoken.||The staff here are very respectful and professional and nothing was too much trouble.||A lovely clean spacious room with tea/coffee, water and fruit juice provided daily, toiletries and all restocked daily, comfortable beds and air con included.. Thank you to the cleaning staff.||The food in this hotel really is up there with the best I've had.. Really fresh and cooked to perfection, delicious meats cooked in different sauces, grilled, casseroles, beef chicken lamb fish, plenty of salads fresh fruit cakes ice cream, different breads, breakfast typical continental but a vast choice, all waiters at all sittings offer table service for drinks, and table service at pool bar and lobby bar day and night.. Always with a polite word and smile.||There is food available most of the day in different areas.||Entertainment team really friendly and not pushy.. They have a very positive attitude and really get on with the guests, we enjoyed what was on offer, given that it was November and its low key it was still enjoyable, a live band, Turkish night, quiz, karaoke. Thank you to the man DJ for such a nice variety of music.||Little mini bus takes you to the beach free of charge and brings you back.. Every 15 minutes these buses run, Its about a 2 minute bus ride||At the beach there is food available at the bar and soft drinks, wine and beer.||The reception staff from arrival until departure were lovely and helpful, again nothing was too much trouble.||We travel a lot and have stayed in Antalya many times but never returned to the same hotel.. The hotel itself was very clean and well situated for the beach and other tourist attractions!! It is approx 1 hour transfer from the airport. |I would, however, say that the rooms could do with a little update, the rooms are quite tired, other than the rooms the hotel itself is fabulous and has everything you needed for a family holiday.|The restaurant manager Ahmet along with his team ran a very well oiled machine in that the food was always replenished with lots of lovely choices from morning breakfast through to evening meal. All of the team were very friendly and constantly making sure we had everything we needed. |During our stay we mainly stayed around the pool, we did use the hotel bus to the beach which is great but, we enjoyed the entertainment during the day and found Mona and her team were busy and tried to involve all guests in the different activities which were great. My young son especially enjoyed the large pool!!|The guest relations manager Zeynel (forget his surname) for myself and family along with other families we met found him to be helpful with anything we needed, he always seemed to be about making sure all guest were happy, ok and enjoying themselves, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him, my young son especially took to him and was asking each day whether we would see him (lol).|I certainly would recommend this hotel and would 💯 return, our only negative is that unfortunately, we found the reception manager Ali and his team didn’t smile and were not very helpful, even to order a taxi seemed too much trouble !!|All in all great hotel, with everything you needed, definitely value for...
