I rarely leave reviews, but after this experience with Loveholidays and Kaya Side Resort in Turkey, I feel I have to warn others. This was supposed to be a 5-star holiday, and it was not cheap. I expected far more than what we got — what we experienced was nothing short of a nightmare from start to finish.||From the moment we landed in Antalya, communication was poor. At the Loveholidays desk in the airport, hardly anyone spoke English. We were given wrong directions to our shuttle and spent almost 40 minutes wandering around, confused, until we had to go back and demand help. Eventually, someone reluctantly showed us where the shuttle was (nowhere near where they first told us). The shuttle itself was a battered 16-seat minibus, covered in dents and scratches, with no air-conditioning in unbearable heat. The driver spoke zero English, and we had no idea how long we’d be waiting, where we were going, or even if we were on the right transfer. The drive felt like a horror movie — constant near misses, and we genuinely questioned whether the driver even had a license.||At the hotel, things looked fine at first when we checked into our room past midnight. But the real problems started the next morning. We had specifically chosen this resort because it advertised gluten-free options and even a separate kitchen for allergies. Yet when we asked the head chef about gluten-free meals, he had no idea what gluten even was. That immediately destroyed any confidence we had. Day after day, my wife was served what they claimed were gluten-free dishes, but it quickly became obvious they were not. After just a few days, my wife began suffering from allergic reactions — rashes, stomach pain, and feeling unwell for the rest of the trip. Their so-called “gluten-free” catering was a complete lie, and honestly, I fear for anyone with a serious allergy staying here.||The “A la Carte” restaurant was another joke. Promoted as a special experience with excellent gluten-free choices, we were told upon arrival that they had none. The food was just ordinary buffet dishes dressed up differently. It was false advertising, plain and simple.||Our guide showed up once, gave us a brief overview of tours, and then disappeared. Calls went unanswered. It was as if he didn’t exist after that first meeting.||The only saving grace was the animation team at the hotel. They worked hard to make the stay bearable, with fun parties and activities. Without them, the trip would have been even worse.||The return home was the final straw. Just before reaching the airport, we got a message that our flight was delayed 3 hours. A few hours later, it was cancelled altogether. Stranded in a foreign country with no internet, no phone service, and no support from Loveholidays or Wizz Air, we had no idea what to do. We were eventually dumped at a random 2-star hotel in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Antalya. Nobody spoke English, the staff didn’t even know we were coming, and we spent the night awake, terrified.||In the end, we had no choice but to pay another €1000 out of our own pocket to get back to Luton the next day. To this day, nobody from Loveholidays or Wizz Air has contacted us to help or even explain. We are still waiting for compensation.||Overall, this was the worst holiday we have ever had. For a supposedly 5-star hotel and a professional holiday company, the experience was a disgrace from start to finish. I would never recommend Loveholidays or Kaya Side Resort to anyone. If you value your health, safety, and money — avoid them.||I will update this review if anyone finally contacts me regarding compensation. Until then, all I can say is: this was a nightmare trip that should never...
Read moreNot recommend. In other words dont plan your trip here. Came here 10 people with kiddos and it was tottaly dissapointment. Stuff is not speaking in english at least for basics and some even hardly in russian. Biggest parts of tourists - RU citizens. When we came here hardly got our rooms numbers. They were not prepared anything for us. Our friends got it in theevening. Other family members ordered separate beds and received one general. Had to complain again in reception. Safe is not working in the room. Directly to rooms balcony and windows is main area where all events are happening. And it continues till 11 pm. For kids it is not acceptable because it to loud. After complaining this to reception they told that people are coming to this hotel to enjoy time. I asked what about resting and didnt got any amswer to that... No music in whole hotel and pool area or it sounds really silently. "We Love To Entertain" animators are not visible or hearable at all during the day. They are not doing their part at all. Total disaster. No communication with people. You can notice them when it evening time and they be like - all you can drink. Morning time you can see them still drunk or just smoking cigarettes next to the entrance and then you have beathe all this smoke smell inside... Kids area in the garden - ok, but rooms are without ventilation and smells really bad. Food - the same every day and doesnt look fresh. Need to mention if you want something specific - dont expect. Chicken - all the time. Heavy rain started for two days and hotel was not prepared even when forecast was showing 100% of rain. All.guest should stay in hotel without any activations or something for kids. At least music started to play... During rain time if you go to dinner, breakfast or lunch then you have to cross outside teritory where it is raining and coming back with all dishes through rain again. You have to go every time and ask at the reception that if they could clean room. In rooms there are special cards "make up the room" or "do not disturb" which you can hang outsode the doors aa infotmative signs. So, in reception they told that if you are placing "make up the room" then they are not cleaning your room in principal (intentative). Need to mention beddings were torned and not changing in a week. Rooms and balcony are not being vaccumed and it is very visible. Night time you can hear strange and loud sounds from bath or sometimes even smell badly... For two days in this hotel came general manager and a group of people which were rating and evaluating hotel, stuff, food, activities - then the hotel started to work. But it took just for few days and everything went in the same point as it was before. Good wifi connectivity. Nice and green environment, big area. There are places where to go outside the hotel. Hotel has some shops where prices are really good and there is no need to go to market places. Because outside hotels stores are really expensive. Bus stop next to hotel. City centre reachable in approx. 20 mins. Overall total nightmare. First time lowest point was reached. Long trip from Antalya airport. Took approx. 2...
Read moreBeing a pretty picky and well traveled person, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this hotel! We had a great holiday (3 friends) and we still have 2 days here :) When we arrived we didn’t like the fact that our room didn’t have WiFi (the hotel has it but for some reason our room didn’t have reception) and since I needed to work for 2 hours a day, we asked to change rooms. Everyone has been very helpful and Dennis, Shapagat, Emrah at reception have been super nice and arranged for room change. Thank you so much for all the assistance :)
LOCATION of hotel is very good! It’s on the beach, beach is spacious and clean. It also has few pools (we enjoyed the one that is 150cm deep). FACILITIES: very clean territory, well maintained, has some sitting areas, beach bars, snack bar that has food 12-3:30, enough sun beds (but take note people leave their towels there so if you like to sleep long might struggle to find one in the “prime” areas if you are more than 2 people). Lobby bar serves coffee and drinks along with desserts almost 24/7! ROOM: we had a room with pool view and it was spacious, cleaned regularly, AC worked great and wasn’t too loud, had blackout curtains (blackout enough:) FOOD: we were happy with the selection! Fresh, plenty of healthy options like salads and fruit, baklava was AMAZING (always looked forward to it;), grilled fish and other meats freshly cooked. We didn’t have trouble finding food and we made compliments to chefs because we felt like they did a great job with food. Baran has been our waiter most nights and he was amazing and very attentive! Osman at the bar - always took care of us. Also Ibrahim in the restaurant - Thank you :) and second chef Ilyas - the nicest man! We met him because we wanted to say how impressed we were with food and we looked forward to chatting with him every day.
They also have great workers, from everyone moving sun beds, serving drinks in the restaurant, giving towels, people cooking - we were impressed with how friendly and nice and helpful everyone has been! There is some entertainment every day, we saw some great dancers, there is live music, kids clubs for those with families We really had a great and relaxing holiday. The guests were nice too (except for few loud and rude russians we encountered) and there seemed to be a great variety of people from all over! I would definitely recommend this hotel for a holiday, it really has everything you would need for family/friends/couples holiday and we were very happy with the choice we made (and believe me we did a lot of research:)
Thank you very much for our nice holiday, Kaya Side! We sure hope we will come visit again! And really - service and people are big part of what made our holiday great and we felt so welcomed by...
