Liu Resort Review – A Beautiful New Hotel with Room to Improve!||Liu Resort is a beautifully designed, brand-new property that shows great potential to become a top-tier destination. With its modern facilities and family-friendly atmosphere, it offers a solid foundation for a 5-star experience. However, several aspects require immediate attention if it is to truly stand out in a competitive market.||Highlights & Positives||New and Stylish: The hotel is recently built and visually impressive, with spacious areas and modern decor.||Kids’ Club: A well-run and engaging space for children, making it a strong choice for families. However, a 10:00 AM opening time may be too late for early-rising children—an earlier start (e.g. 8:00 AM) would allow parents more flexibility.||Beach Bar: One of the standout features, with great service and atmosphere, though it can get quite busy at peak times.||Stagnum Pool Bar: Another nice spot, albeit often with long queues.||Fitness Center: Open 24/7, a rare and appreciated amenity, though the gym is undersized for the hotel’s capacity.| |Areas for Improvement & Recommendations||Aqua Park Bar: Drinks are of poor quality and the service is subpar. Consider upgrading beverage offerings and training staff to enhance guest experience. Ice cream machines only offer vanilla—a missed opportunity to delight children. A variety of flavors should be added.||Barbershop Pricing: €50 for a men’s haircut is excessive. Consider offering a more competitive pricing structure or tiered services.||Onsite Medical Services: Charging €120 just to consult the nurse, and requiring insurance claims, is unreasonable and discouraging. Review pricing and ensure transparency at check-in.||Language Barrier: Many staff members do not speak or understand basic English, making communication difficult. For a 5-star resort, basic English proficiency should be standard across all guest-facing staff. Immediate investment in language training is advised.||Dining Experience: Lack of Variety: Food options are repetitive, and there's no Indian cuisine—a surprising omission for an international resort.||Miu À La Carte: Offering only seafood limits choice; diversifying the menu would broaden appeal.|Late-Night Dining: Often offers limited or no food. A consistent late-night menu is essential for guests arriving late or with young children. No Kids’ Menu: A children’s section with pizza, fries, and other kid-friendly items would improve family dining.||No Welcome Drinks: A small but important touch that could enhance the arrival experience—either provide a complimentary drink or have staff proactively assist guests to the nearby bar.||Cleanliness & Maintenance: Hallway carpets are not vacuumed daily and show early signs of wear.|Small maintenance issues (e.g., off-centered TVs, leftover masking tape) detract from an otherwise premium feel. A more thorough daily housekeeping and maintenance inspection would help.||Kids Amenities: While some children receive welcome packs (gown, shampoo set), this isn’t consistent. These items should be offered proactively to all families with children.||Mini-Bar Offering: The in-room mini bar is very limited, lacking juices and snacks. Expanding the selection would add value to the room experience.||Final Thoughts - Liu Resort is full of promise and offers several standout features, especially for families. However, if it does not address the areas highlighted above, it risks becoming just another average hotel in a competitive market. As the brand prepares to expand to Bodrum, it is vital to solidify and improve the guest experience at its current location.||With better staff training, improved dining variety, more attention to detail in cleanliness, and a more thoughtful approach to family amenities, Liu Resort can easily become a leading destination.|Final Thoughts||Liu Resort is full of promise and offers several standout features, especially for families. Read moreThe hotel itself is very pretty and there is a nice beach area (so there is a potential)However that’s how far the good things go. The customer service is nonexistent. (Just wanted to mention first and exclude coffee shop staff as they were the only ones that very very nice and helpful.) Let me start with the reception which is really “a face of the hotel”. I haven’t seen one person smiling, at check in no hello and the worst part - no information given at all. At check in I was only told to take a picture of the times for the restaurant opening and nothing else. I had to find out everything else on my own. Not even being told where is the breakfast or dinner served. Next one the customer service at the bar is horrendous. Even tho it supposed to be a table service I went to the bar as no one was approaching our table. I stood at the bar for 15 minutes while there were only 2 other customers (friends) as it was a day time and the barman was only serving them while also having shots with them. There was another customer waiting who after a while gave up on waiting (same as me). And now I’ll move to the main point. BUGS AND INSECTS (I also attach photos of those). I have never came back from holidays as stressed as from this one. Out of 7 nights at the hotel 4 I haven’t slept or might had 2/3 hours at most. Don’t ask me how I mange you even stay there. One thing for sure if you’re a sensitive person to insects, definitely don’t stay here as the bugs here are very big and there are everywhere. At the very first time when the bugs were spotted (by my mom who was terrified after seeing them) we called the reception and we were told this never happened in this hotel and they took care of them and change our room. 20 min after being in new room we decided to go balcony and there were another 2 huge bugs (the hotel staff at least they could checked the room before letting us in). We called someone to take care of it. The following day there were new bugs and guess what they literally entered the room. After multiple calls to reception there was no reaction so we (me and my poor mom) had to take care of it on our own. I spoke with the hotel manager so many times and I think because I was being nice they took it very light, after I complain multiply times the manager even took my number saying she will find solution and compensation of some sort for us. Guess what I never heard from her. Spoke with another manager who said he filled the form and wrote the report to the hotel director and I will be contacted by him and also my request for refund was all submitted. Guess what - it was never done. At the check out no message from anyone (and of course no smile form anyone). I am still waiting for the response from the hotel director since I was told the report with my complain has been submitted to him (it’s been exactly 1 months since I checked out). Otherwise seems proper lying to your customers face. And they also changed the story about the bug every time. First they say it’s very unusual, next than it’s normal since the hotel is next to the forest, next day they tell me they have never seen such bugs and it’s very new and they are currently researching about it. Please just pick one version because you’ve only made me even more stressed. Another interesting story. While I was a the hotel seeing all these bugs I was surprised not to see anything about it in the review before so I checked again and I found one from few days earlier with the pictures. Guess what - it disappeared now. So obviously some sort of manipulation going on as well. I wanted to treat my mom to some relaxing holiday but it turned out to be coming back home very tired (because of lack of sleep) and stressed. Believe me or not but I am a sensitive person so even after being back Home I was still very stressed for few weeks after whenever something was moving next to me. It really is a huge shame the way all of this was handled. Insects happens everywhere and it’s inevitable however they way it was handle this thats what made it...
Read moreThis was my first visit to Turkey and the hotel, and so I was looking forward to the experience and to see for myself whether positive reviews in the past were genuine or not.
Overall I was very pleased with the Hotel. It was honestly one of the best I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. We stayed for 7 nights from Saturday 20th to 27th April.
Positives: Food and Drink - all top quality stuff. The Food was very good quality and plentiful - there was more than enough choice for the whole week. Drinks were premium quality and genuine top shelf products. Facilities - the Swimming Pools were clean and of a high standard (we used the one near the water parks because it was quiet here whilst the other pools were busy - mainly because the others were heated but this one wasn’t but the water temperature was fine). Waterparks were great and more than fine for a Hotel. Attentive staff at the Bars and the Coffee Bar (the Coffee was incredible). Beach Club - WOW. Very nice, plush and something you’d find in Ibiza. It was perfect. The Beach was very spacious too with more than enough sun beds and very clean. It was a quick 5 minutes walk down the path from the main hotel or a frequent courtesy buggy. Entertainment - was fine, as it was something different every night. Some songs were in Russian but only a few, and the vast majority in English. However, there wasn’t much entertainment for children, only the Kids Club (which wasn’t well advertised as it took us half way through the week to find it). The Beach Club entertainment started at 9:30pm (they also had a DJ in the afternoon for a hour from 4:30pm) which was a little late for those families with children so maybe they could have filled the gap in a little earlier? A La Carte - Incredible food and service. It’s an absolute must to visit.
Negatives: Room cleaning - we ran out of Shower Gel and the cleaner didn’t notice so we had to chase them up twice to fill it up. It then ran out again on the last night. Expect better from a 5 Star hotel - unless we just use too much Shower Gel… Restaurant service - not very attentive. Some days waiters didn’t even ask if you wanted a drink or didn’t bother to clean up empty plates very promptly. Although the service in the evening was much better than breakfast and lunch. The lady who welcomes you to the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly though.
Not negatives but as slight criticism- for a new hotel the room size was a little small and could have done with better soundproofing. Whilst a lot of staff could have done with a better understanding of English as sometimes basic requests were misunderstand (luckily for us as my partners first language is Russian sometimes it was easier to converse in Russian). On check out, the reception staff was a little cold - no thank you for visiting or asking us if we’d had a good time which you expect from a 5 star hotel.
We opted for a late check out which is a little pricey at €20 per hour (but the Hotel did give us 2 hours free, so normal check out is at 12pm but they extended this until 2pm, and then we paid from 2pm to 8pm which cost €120) which allowed us to go to the beach etc and enjoy our last day in the knowledge that we could relax and shower etc before we needed to leave for the airport. But a little disappointing that the additional fee didn’t include any room cleaning or change of towels or even the minibar being restocked.
The majority of guests (all that’s what it felt like) was from a certain Slavic country, and a sizeable minority had no concept of queuing, respect or decorum but that’s not the hotels fault (maybe the governments fault for continuing to take the rouble…)
But overall the hotel and experience is very very good. We will definitely be returning at some point. I would genuinely say it’s the best All Inclusive hotel I’ve ever stayed at anywhere...
