Oz Side Premium — Hotel in Manavgat

We stayed at this Hotel from May 30 to June 10, 2025. I can say,after 9 years of holidays in Turkey, this was the best hotel ever where my family and I stayed. Absolutely professional and courteous receptionists, they welcomed us very well even though we arrived at 4 in the morning, very fast check in. The lobby like the whole property is very big, elegant and welcoming, carefully furnished with a very nice bar, many tables and sofas, inside or positioned on the magnificent outdoor terrace, the wi fi connection is free and works very well throughout the hotel. The room was perfect, exactly what we had booked, with a sea view, and an excellent view of the entire pool area. It was clean and tidy, great furnishing, comfortable beds, as the bathroom, with a generous selection of soaps and shower gel, the size of the wardrobes was also great, the room has a mini bar with free drinks. The pool area is fantastic, absolutely left me very satisfied, very large pool, with another next to it with slides, and as if that were not enough there is a smaller one for children, the area is equipped with an entertainment area for children, a bar stocked with all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and it is possible to eat here without necessarily going to the restaurant, in fact there is a small area with kiosks where they prepare delicious stuff, such as churros and kebabs, ice creams and hamburgers. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, and is extraordinary and equipped with all comforts, kept to a high standard and very well looked after by the staff, and you will always have an excellent wi-fi connection. The Bar and restaurant on the beach are fantastic, as are the people who work there, always very polite and professional, the food is excellent, there is a lot of selection and variety, and above all there is quality, the bar is stocked with everything, and the drinks are excellent, whatever you decide to drink. The beach also has a play area for children and a volleyball field, the entertainment will never make you feel alone, and will always keep you busy:). The restaurant is beautiful, an elegant and welcoming structure, with lots of seating, even outside, the dishes are delicious, there is a lot of variety, and quality in the cuisine, too many good things that unfortunately I did not have time to taste... As an Italian I was surprised by the quality of the pizza, absolutely excellent, there is a barbecue area outside that always surprised me, excellent meat, as well as cooking. No less is the pastry shop, fabulous, in the appearance and presentation of high-level desserts, absolutely delicious, and for the little ones there are ice creams. The staff in the restaurant area is fantastic, all of them very polite and professional, and I have repeatedly complimented to the chefs for their great job. In this hotel I used the spa, where there are 2 saunas, a steam room, hammam, and massage center, and not to be underestimated the indoor pool and the hot tub, all this in a relaxing and very well-kept environment. The massage I received was truly professional. I highly recommend the photograph, wonderful photos, absolutely satisfied with the quality of the service, and to conclude I would also like to give 5 stars to the entertainment team, really very good, with a space dedicated to children, and on Monday in particular the whole evening was dedicated to them, with inflatable castles and many games. Quality shows every evening and I remember the party on the beach which was fantastic, everything taken care of down to the smallest details. I really wanted to thank everyone, for the great and tiring work they do, ours holiday was simply fantastic. I want to thank Rabia, who works at the bar located on the ground floor, (chez lavinia) for his fantastic cappuccino and milkshake, really high level, the espresso was also fantastic.

Poor hotel, 5 stars more like zero stars, I do not recommend !!

Not sure how this hotel is classed as 5 stars because whilst on surface the reception/ lobby area, pool, patisserie on lobby floor and in dining hall & spa looks all glam and yeah you get the wow factor walking in but after that everything is rubbish. You always see staff cleaning the front entrance and lobby area and see staff by pool area collecting glasses and rubbish but behind the scenes it's a different case.

Checking in at reception - no smile or welcome from staff. At check-in everytime i asked a question about anything the answer was always speak to guest relations. I arrived late in the evening, guest relations is open from 10am if you are lucky. And I only found this out by asking myself -no notices anywhere of guest relations opening and closing times.

Animation team was very disappointing and unprofessional and always bothering you. Read the room - some guests don't want to be bothered by sleazy animation staff. The hotel has a club on minus 3 floor and for winter concept it's open 3 days Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 at night until around 1/1.30am. The drinks inside the club are chargeable. Best to get drinks from the lobby bar and take them down with you. Entertainment was a joke they never had enough seats for guests to enjoy the entertainment. Why have 200 plus guests and a small amphitheatre and a even smaller Irish bar that fits no where near that amount of people and it was the same case in the lobby never enough seats for the amount of guests at hotel so entertainment cannot be enjoyed.

The spa again looked wow from the outset but again the facilities are not big enough for the number of guests the hotel has. Also it's not clear that the steam room opens at 4pm each day - no signage anywhere, only found out by asking.

The inside pool had seen better days.

The beach - again dining space and beach space looks wow but again not enough loungers for number of guests hotel has and beach dining area small. Toilets were filthy by beach side. Seemed liked no one ever checked them throughout day to wipe the wet floor or replenish the toilet paper and on one day the soap dispenser was not working.

Overall the hotel does not deserve 5 stars it deserves 0 stars until it improves on all aspects 100%. Having read previous reviews which mentioned the downsides of the hotel and with the food especially etc I thought it wont be that bad and i give it a chance but no I would not stay here again and I whole heartedly 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. THERES A REASON WHY ITS SO CHEAP ITS RUBBISH. If you do decide to book oz hotels side premium, book at your own peril. The only reason you see so many high scored star reviews because just days into your stay at every turn you are getting staff asking you if everything's okay and to put a review up. Putting a review up after your full stay is where you get the honest picture, not days into a holiday when you have just literally arrived and not had the experience to try the facilities or seen...

My father and I travelled to Side to have some dental treatment done and, knowing how this would affect eating & drinking, we opted for a budget choice and chose the Side Premium Hotel - we stayed all-inclusive (including flights and transfers) for an average cost of just £45 per-person per-day so we would be very hard pushed to complain about anything at this incredible price. We were fortunate in so many ways - the hotel was not overly busy, being off-season, but the weather was amazing and was unusually hot - with pure sunshine every day of our 10-day stay.

Staff were all great, service was very good. Areas around the hotel were cleaned and well maintained. Food was better than I expected - although, as usual, the coffee and juice options are terrible (same in most hotels) although you can get a 'proper' coffee at the coffee bar anytime from 9am til 6pm.

Our room was okay - fairly typical of any large hotel. It was well managed and kept clean/stocked. The complimentary mini bar only contains water and basic soft drinks - no beer, spirits or wine, although you can pick these up at the bar and take them to your room if you wish.

Inclusive drinks are not premium/import brands but rather local/cheaper turkish spirits but they are more than acceptable and, when mixed with soda/tonic/coke etc they taste really as good as anything else. Effes beer is nice and I enjoyed more or less everything that I had. The bar staff work hard to keep up when the bar is busy. I was surprised that, given this hotels immense size, that there is only one real main bar area.

The split of nationalities was about 90% German and 10% English on our stay. There were however plenty of sunbeds for everyone!

Big shout out to Ali who worked at the coffee bar. He was full of character and was really funny/entertaining and is an obvious asset to Oz Hotels. The bar staff were also all generally really good.

Unlike other hotels I have stayed at in Side, Turkey, there did not seem to be a never-ending expectation of tips/gratuities, and the level of service was still really good.

The spa/sauna/pool/turkish bath is excellent and rarely very busy. We really made good use of this!

The beach is a very short walk from the hotel (3 minutes) although there was not much going on there when we stayed, being off-season.

Some people might moan/complain that there was a lot of maintenance going on - painting the hotel and the main pool was empty and was being re-grouted ready for the busy season but this did not bother us at all. They have to take care of these things are some point and I am sure that the hotel and pool will look very smart for the upcoming busy months of the year.

Overall, I give this hotel and our stay a comfortable 5 out of 5 stars but you have to manage your expectations when the hotel claims to be a 5-star hotel when very few of them actually really are. This hotel is still excellent however and is really amazing value for money. I recommend it...
