Blue Paradise Apart — Hotel in Marmaris

When I arrived to this hotel, the first thing that stands out is how extremely rude the owner is. We alerted him earlier of our late arrival and he was unhappy that we arrived after 10pm. He complained about helping us with our bags and was very unpleasant during our check in. We did not get the room we booked on Agoda. He argued with us saying that we booked on booking.com and didn't book on Agoda even after I showed him the Agoda confirmation email. We reserved a room with one bed but we received a room with two tiny beds and no wifi and there is only air conditioning in the bedroom, not the entire apartment. After bringing is to his attention he told us if we don't like it then we can leave. It was around 12:30 at night when we arrived so we didn't have many options to go elsewhere as everything was close. It's very obvious that the reviews saying how nice the hotel and owner are were fake, or someone working for the hotel wrote the reviews. There are plenty better hotels in the area for the same price or cheaper with much more hospitable workers. Do not stay...

This was advertised as a penthouse however was far from it. It was a top floor small apartment. Top floor was shared with 3 other apartments. This is a very outdated apartment. There is only a/c in the bedroom. (Which was turned off internally, we had to call the owner in order to assist us, he wasn’t happy climbing 4 flights of stairs, he made a sarcastic comment when leaving) The shower head is mounted 2.5 feet from the ground therefore you cannot shower properly) Finally due to the a/c only being in the bedroom, the rest of the apartment was inhabitable due to the heat. Please note me and my wife have been living in Dubai for the last 7 months, yeah, 48 degrees heat average. This “apartment” left us feeling very deflated. There was no lift, we hand to manually take our luggage up 4 flights. No air conditioning in communal areas. Owner helped with one suitcase however was not happy about this.

This place is fantastic if you are looking for a quiet place to stay in the Marmaris area. There is no hassle from the staff and the owner and he's family are very helpfull and easy-going. The rooms are clean and include a kitchen that will give you the oiption of making your own home-cooked meals or you can just order one by the hotel bar. ||There are a number of activities you can enjoy while staying in the hotel including great daily boat-trips, horse-safari or a real Turkish Hammam experience.
