Dna Hotel Dalyan — Hotel in Ortaca

Clean Modern Friendly hotel with short (10 mins) stroll into the Dalyan centre.||I was a solo traveller (wife works in a school and could not get time off) and found this |Hotel by browsing on Jet2 website looking for a cheekie short break. I found DNA Dalyan |showing 39 5 five stars and 1 a four star rating on TripAdvisor so was hooked at that.|I saw this holiday on a Wednesday evening and booked with flying thefollowing day (Thursday)||Arrived to the hotel just before midnight Turkish time to be greeted at the transfer mini bus|by the owner who carried my bag to the check-in and subsequent room.||On wake up (extremely comfortable bed) I ventured to the poolside restaurant for Turkish |breakfast which included melon ham cheese etc and freshly made coffee and juices in abundance ||Only 13 rooms in the hotel and is restricted to over 14 year olds. Pool was a little chilly but great |relief from the heat of the sun (mid-sept 2024). Sun beds were plentiful and had a full length cushions||The breakfast restaurant turns into the pool side bar during the day and was spotless and reasonable |Price wise||My room was lovely which had Free safe air-con and excellent wi-fi reception. Large bathroom which|Had a very powerful shower with 2 settings in turns of the shower waterflow.||Taking the 10 minute walk into Dalyan centre you will find quite a few bars and restaurants. Which |Had prices similar to those in the UK (Turkey not the cheap holiday location it used to and which I|Had experienced on several in the past. ||Down side is the fact that Dalyan is inland but is close to a river where cruises in abundance |Unfortunately mosquitoes are plenty and eventually went home with circa 30 bites for which|I have been on antibiotics as some became infected||I only had a 3 night stay at DNA Dalyan and wish I had longer||Would I recommend for others to stay and without question I say YES . The DNA hotel has beaten all our expectations for service quality.||Right from the meeting at the gate to unloading our bags off the bus to then entering the room. |The room is clean, modern and fresh with pillows and a bed that provide a peaceful night's rest, the air-conditioning works silently in the background. The room came with added extras all FOC, a kettle with coffee, cups and milk. The bathroom had fresh towels including pool towels each day and some small bottles of shower gel, body lotion shampoo and conditioner. The shower was great, it had 2 shower heads one a powerful head and the second an amazon rain fall shower head. |Wifi works well in and out of the hotel room. |We were on the ground floor and the patio doors led immediately onto the pool, it felt like we had a swim up room.|The breakfast was plentiful, with lots of filtered coffee, tea and juices, fresh fruit and cheeses with eggs either boiled or scrambled. ||The hotel is around 10mins flat walk to the town, you do pass two supermarkets and 2 resteraunts if you do not wish to walk into town one evening. |Dalyan has everything you need for a great week away and abundance of resteraunts and bars plus lots of "genuine fake shops" some great river boat trips too. ||In summary :|The greatest feature of this hotel is the staff. Each and every person we met greeted us and wanted to have a conversation, this is rare in hotels these days! What a week we have had at the DNA Hotel in Dalyan. We wanted a relaxed & chilled week in the sun and that is exactly what we got. |On arrival we were greeted off the bus (40 minute airport transfer) and taken to our rooms, my husband had his own room , I was sharing with our 17 year old daughter, we were given a double bed room, but immediately changed to a twin, no problem , (luckily for us hotel was not full), both rooms were lovely.|Air con very efficient and a welcome relief . The staff at the hotel were so attentive, we hardly had to lift a finger, nothing was a problem, the whole hotel was immaculate and kept clean & spotless. |Breakfast was lovely, varied and plentiful.|There were plenty of sun beds (very comfy) & seats round the pool, pool towels were also available which was great. |Location was perfect, 10 minute wander in to the main town , lots of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from. |No big problem for any of us with mosquitos, we got a couple of bites but nothing major, we did spray ourselves at night and wear ‘Pestects’ wristbands .|We went on a boat trip which took us down the river to the sea, we saw turtles on the way back, that was a great day out! Highly recommend.
