Overpriced and full of flies. I brought this up to the staff and they sent up someone with a can of bug spray, who sprayed it in a couple of random places and called it a day. Since there were several still buzzing around in one single area, I went and asked for the spray can myself and got rid of them as they watched. They left after I returned the can, leaving the dead flies all over the floor.
Booking this place was a mistake.
The room's decor is decent, but definitely not worth the price if a room isn't checked for cleanliness before a guest's stay.
The view is okay from the terrace, but nothing special from the room itself.
Unfortunately, management made things even less comfortable so I checked out after staying only one day.
The general manager knocked on my door as I was about to go to sleep, since as they know, I have a balloon flight early in the morning. She asked me to delete this review in exchange for a room upgrade or check out. After asking if she meant that I either upgrade or I would have to check out, she insisted I look at the upgraded room.
Two employees followed behind us as she walked, she showed me the suite, I declined and she made a disrespectful comment about how I was single and continued to act aggressively. This made my stay go from generally unpleasant to very uncomfortable. I stated I paid for two nights, non-refundable and I would take the room I was given but I would be checking out in the morning.
After getting ready, I noticed yet another dead fly...
Read moreMy husband and I along with our friends stayed at the Acer Cave Hotel for two nights. It is a lovely hotel in a quiet area. Our room was wonderful although I could have done without the party tub in the room. The bathroom was nice and had a tub and great walk-in shower. The only reason I couldn’t give the hotel a 5-star review is because the heat system didn’t work very well. Our room was suffocatingly hot when we walked in. Once we figured out that we could just turn the heat off and open a window we were able to manage. The bed was very comfortable but there were only two pillows.. Having extras is always nice. I will say the staff Brough them when I asked for them the 2nd day and they made all the difference. They serve a good breakfast in the mornings and we had a great lunch on the patio outside and enjoyed the gorgeous weather and spectacular views. The front desk staff were kind and polite. The hotel decor is very unique with old radios and old TV’s and antiques in the lobby - think of grandma’s in the 1950’s but it really worked with the cave environment. Almost like being in a castle. We didn’t get out and explore around the hotel so I can’t speak to its location for shopping and restaurnts. It is however, very centrally located for exploring the many attractions of Cappadocia. I would definitely recommend a stay at the...
Read moreIt's my first time to come to Cappadocia and my travel put me and my family in this hotel. From the outside the hotel looks quite simple and small. When you enter, the concept of the hotel is very good, like a hotel cave with stone reliefs and some typical turkish decorations and identical carpets. In addition, the form of the hotel is broad downwards with levels that can only be descended through stairs but don't worry, your luggage can be carried by the hotel staff. I was placed in a very nice room with an identical Turkish concept which is located on the 2nd floor with a balcony where every morning we can see the sunrise with hot air balloons flying above. Besides that, we can also enjoy the beautiful sunset in the room. Jakuzi available, complete room facilities. Every corner of the hotel can be used as a photo spot. The hotel staff is very friendly and quick to help. Which makes another plus, for breakfast and dinner all the menus are very tasty, the concept of an authentic restaurant makes the dining atmosphere also fun. Wifi and lift available for floors up. The experience of sleeping in this cave hotel is very pleasant, hopefully I can enjoy it again next...
