Beey Kebab Café Restaurant, Ortahisar: Let’s set bars of expectations straight in this town. It’s designed to be a tourist town so there’s no coiffed dining. As the other cheap eats options on our discerning list were closed, we headed here but read some of the mixed reviews and wary of the horror ones like overcharge, no credit card payments, extra credit card charges and . Not ones for the pickles and Turkish bread tributaries offerings, we asked for them to be returned several times. This was lost in translation, but they finally took them back. There’s no wow factor here – despite the large looming accolade of the chef award. We had a mushroom pasta and lean stir fry chicken – simple dishes but at mid restaurant tags.There’s no view like the other rooftops so you might be merrier feasting in views at those spots or go for the cheap eats as we originally intended....

This is our second visit to Cappadocia, and we absolutely love it – always magical and wonderful. However, maybe since we live in Hatay, which is known for excellent food, we always have a big problem finding a restaurant that meets our standards. Thank goodness, during this trip, we discovered Beey Kebab. Family run with excellent and very friendly service. It was so good that we ate four meals there and invited a guest to come with us! We highly recommend the kuzu pirzola (grilled lamb chops), tepsi kebab (served flaming hot) margarita pizza (we used to own a pizza restaurant in downtown San Diego, California, and we would have served this pizza in our place!,) and kuru fasulye. This place is a must try restaurant if you are in Ortahisar, they have amazing authentic Turkish food with lots of options, me and my friends loved their food so much that we went their again on our second day of stay to try the other options on their menu. The ambience is very cozy and it’s kids friendly as well because there is a playing area next to the restaurant. The restaurant is handled by a couple and they give their customers the best service they could provide.
