I stayed at khalifia suites for 5 weeks on holidays mid August till mid September 2012.||I stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The room was very run down, the furnishes were ||Very old and unkept. The bathroom titles were cracked and the kitchen had a whole in ||the wall that was never fixed. The wii in te hotel was very slow and basically non existent. I had ||A rat in my room for several days and management woul not assist with getting rid of it. Management are very slack. The housekeeper cames in the afternoon and doesn't clean to room properly. my fridge in the kitchen broke down three times in the coarse of my stay and it took management forever to repair or replace it. Just got excuses all te time. No takes responsibility for the place. The pool was never cleaned during the mornings, I wanted to go for a swim, they were bugs and insects in the pool. Only on te rear occasion would the pool get cleaned on Saturdays. The restrauntant was always empty, day and night, leaving me to question the integrity of the old. They were builders the first two weeks, making a lot of noice at 8am, resulting in no restful sleep in on my holiday. The place is very quest, there is more of an atmosphere and better customer service at the royal suites hotel, which is right next door. They were monkeys on our balconey nearly every morning. I strongly advise, not to waste your money staying here, the hotel is slightly cheaper then others in the area or in Kampala town, but the service is horrible and the hotel is ran down. I recommend you stay at the royal suites, it's slightly more money, but it has high standards and good customer service, I have stayed there before on a previous...
Read moreI was going to stay at the Khalifa Executive Suites for 10 days. It was suggested that I pay upfront and I did. I thought the being a black person who is Muslim I would support the hotel that was run by black African people who were also Muslim. I had to cut my trip short and asked for a refund for the days I didn't stay there and was told by the manager Amin, who is Muslim, that I would be refunded right away. It has been a month now and I am still waiting and have been getting excuses.||||Though the place looked very nice the gas didn't work in the entire hotel so I couldn't use the 3 gas stoves and only had access to the 1 electric burner.||||The shower head fixture was broken and I had to hold the shower head while I took a shower.||||Also on the first day the plumbing stopped and I couldn't flush the toilet. Thankfully they were able to fix the problem.||||The Wifi...
Read moreI stayed here for a week with my partner and children, beautiful setting and calming, away from the chaos of Kampala. We were in a 3 bedroom suite which was large open plan and airy with our own private garden.Downsides were that the furnishings looked neglected, the shower tray was stained and horrible, towels were discoloured and old, and the general inside just needed some finishing touches to it. The restaurant on site was empty on the nights we were there which didnt give much confidence so we opted to eat at the royal suites next door which also had the atmosphere in the evenings.||All in all, its not bad for the price but just needs that little attention to detail to bring the place it to life. The suites are in need of...
