Banana Bar & Bistro — Restaurant in Kampala

They try to overpriced us for almost 60 dollars for something we didn't order this is 7 times happening here in Kampala Uganda Club and environment 💯 good it's like the only spice they have is salt. It's like salt with food, even my girl's local here in Uganda cutent eat the food to salty Can't eat there food. environment gorgeous waitress nice untill bill came soo pretending thanking I'm drunk over charged me 200k Ugandan Shillings 60 dollers don't recommend or be advice and look at your bill if you go here food it really bad.

Btw the did correct my bill but know the maximum ppl this evening 30 including us me and my girl and putting 200ugx extra on the bill see if the can get away with it really strange, place environment 💯 beautiful vibe good food garbage and btw I complained about both my food and my girls food no refunds like if you can't get hamburger 🍔 right the nothing you do can be right my girl order 🐟 fish local she usually finch the whole thing and she can't she getting takeaway this time didn eat anything so dry and soo salty we pay full price for food we did eat and then the try to overcharged us for 200k ugx if the owner is not in Uganda and see that's get new chef and take his salt shaker away from him/her anyways I have never posted a review here but this something club/bar/sandbox need it and I have been her in Uganda for over 1,5 year never been so disappointed before fix this owner of Banana bar & bistro fire the chef and don't order so much salt for the new chef coming next 6 to 12 months you be good, but we are never coming back there the overcharge if it is your staff owner or you'r doing make sure your customers are crazy crazy drunk before trying this. If not you owner fire your whole staff the are stealing from you...

Banana bar & Bistro, went for lunch and had the mixed meat platter for 4-5 people. For just under 200k UGX about £40 it was well worth it, loads of meat beautifully presented and seasoned to perfection, simply amazing, fresh juice was actually fresh and tasted amazing.

I really enjoyed the whole experience, service team were really nice, helpful and friendly. The different seating areas are really cool with clever use of bamboo to create privacy, perfect if you just want to chill with a few friends and enjoy food and good company. You can book a table and pre order food and drinks, then just show up on time, great service.

Bugolobi is a really cool part of Kampala, very trendy crowd of people, they party after party and all week long there’s something entertaining to do. This place is definitely one place you could visit at Least once or twice a week and not get bored.

Banana Bar is quite a sight to behold. Incredible ambience, cozy, secluded and perfect lighting. The food is costly and tasteless.

Order for , almost 4 different dishes and all of them were underwhelming for the price. The mashed potatoes didn't have enough salt, the French fries were undercooked (3 different plates served at different intervals);the chicken fingers tasted stale. Additionally, getting service took such a long time for a big number.

Unrelated sockets on the wall didn't have power.

This place came highly recommended as a must check out and it ended up dissapointing save for what it looked and felt like. Importantly, a chef can always be replaced and food can always get cooked better, so it's not a deal breaker...
