I have stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions and ended up staying in 4 of the 6 rooms. The quarters are relatively roomy, quiet and cozy. The bathrooms are nice and come equipped with toiletries. The beds are firm but comfortable. There are only 6 rooms in this little hotel but each is appointed on a different theme. The hotel has an adjoining café that serves tasty meals and drinks at reasonable prices. There is also a bar there.||||The greatest thing about this hotel is its location. It is not in the city center, which is why the price is as good as it is. But, it is located approximately 300 yards from the Vystavkovyi Tsentr -green line - metro entrance. This is directly across the street from the hotel. Next to the Metro entrance are stops for multiple busses that can take you where you wish to go. At the stop is also many food vendors, both vegetable and fruit (the vendors are very nice and helpful whether you can speak Russian and Ukraine or not) as well as kiosks for different items. In the middle of an "island" in the intersection across from the hotel is a building that houses a café, pizza restaurant and stores.||||When you leave the hotel entrance, if you turn to your left, within 2 doors you will be at a bank. A pharmacy is the next door and at the end of the street is another bank with Western Union connections. 3 doors past the bank to the left is an ATB which is a small grocery store with pretty much whatever you need. ||||The item that has always sold me on the hotel is the very close proximity to one of the most romantic restaurants in Kiev, the Restaurant Prague. This is located across the street named Holosiivskyi Prospect. This is a very busy street so make sure you cross at the crossing area at the traffic light down from the ATB. This restaurant in a beautiful building in the middle of a very nice park with a pond stocked with white swans. On the back of the restaurant is a large deck sitting area that during the summer months is covered by an awning and has an exquisite view of the pond and the walkway giving you not only fabulous food and service in a very comfortable atmosphere but the ability to people watch to your hearts content. I highly recommend this to anyone in Kiev. As always in Ukraine, blankets are available upon request if you feel chilled.||||This hotel is also close to the Ecosenter (located next to the Restaurant Prague) which is a collection of impressive Russian Era convention buildings in the same park. Very well worth a stroll after your nice meal.||||I recommend not only the hotel but the area as a great place to stay. With the subway, you are only about a 15 minute subway ride (extremely inexpensive, but very clean and easy to use) from the city center.||||The front desk is manned until 11pm or 23:00. After this time the door is locked for the night. However, there is a bell next to the door that you can ring to summon the clerk. It may take a minute as she...
Read moreThis was the third time that we've stayed in this hotel, and as far as I'm concerned I will never book anywhere else in Kiev. Sited on a very busy road junction in an area that has everything that you could possibly need within a short walk, this hotel is a single floor of a 10-year old apartment block, clean, bright and cheerful, our 'Lux' room had a huge bathroom, aircon, soundproofing and a very comfortable bed. The hotel is just a stone's throw from the Mister Cat franchise. ||(For those of you who aren't familiar with Mister Cat, this location has bars / cafes / restaurants spread over the first, second and seventeenth floors of an enormous office block with smoking allowed on the 2nd and 17th. There is an outside deck on the 17th with truly amazing views over the city and exhibition centres and hookah pipes available for the adventurous among you. Service is shockingly slow, music is deafening and the food is bloody awful, but it's cheap and handy and the views are incredible.)||The Metro is 300 metres away, giving access to all of the city for a ridiculously low price.||The receptionist, Natasha, is one of the nicest people we've met in our travels and is definitely the most polite person you will find in Kiev. ||An absolute winner, can't...
Read moreI was in room 4, which was very spacious and comfortable. The room was warm (Kyiv was cold in October) and clean, though a little old fashioned. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was very quiet and faces away from the street. Breakfasts were rather ordinary and very basic. My friend stayed in room 6, which was slightly smaller but beautifully bright (in Mediterranean white and blue colours). Although it faced the main street, my friend said it was quiet. The Metro (which is inexpensive and very efficient) is just a few minutes’ walk away, and gives you access to all of Kyiv’s...
