Ewan Hotel Apartments — Hotel in New Industrial

Pros:|- rooms were a decent size|- my family were able to stay together ||Cons:|- the breakfast is just sad, that's the only way I can describe. Barely edible |- housekeeping acted like I was personally taking their pillow and towels when asking for extra. Had to repeat myself several times as I needed the items. |- we requested a cot for my baby, wasn't there when we arrived, requested again and we got the dirtiest one they could find.|- the room and bathroom cleanliness was just... Well it's something.|- the washing machine still had screws in that needed to be removed so it looked like it was going to fly off the wall. A total hazard that we had to call maintenance for.|- the kitchen didn't actually have a stove. Just a sink with burnmarks, cupboards that don't close properly, a microwave and a coffee maker that has a European plug so can't go into anything. Oh and the dangerous washing machine. The only decent appliance was the fridge that actually blocks the light switch.|- the "kitchen" and bathroom fans were so filthy, when we turned them on, dirt flew out.|- the bathroom would have so much condensation if you closed the door too long. The mirror would literally fog up and the room was wet. |- random holes everywhere and things not installed properly. Just embarrassing like a cowboy builder was hired to do the work.|- the sofa had a random burn hole too. |- the TV would disconnect to the WiFi every time you would turn it off and it also managed to randomly change to french. |- the front of the building is having some work done so to get to the entrance is one way. Meaning if you get a cab, the people behind will keep beeping as you get out.|- not a generally nice or clean area.|- damp on the ceiling that was...

Month before i booked, i asked the reservation team that we are coming from abu dhabi and requested to have early check in as we have exam in Gulf Medical University the next day, which they agreed at 1pm we can check in.

However, we arrived at 2:30pm expecting that the room is ready as we need ti take a rest for the next day exam. But then, room still not ready, we still have to wait for another 30mins as per the receptionist even though i told them that we have an early check in booking. Still they cant do anything about it.

Finally we checked-in in 2 bedroom apartment with kitchenette, but upon entering the room, smell was so disgusting, microwave smells burnt, fridge wasn’t turned on very smelly, garbage bin was so smelly like rotten eggs, and there wasn’t utensils and kitchenware for us to cook food. Their reason was, it wasnt allowed to cook when pandemic started. But upon booking, kitchenette was there and never mentioned about cant use it. We even stopped by the grocery store to buy things we needed as need comfortable and peaceful during our stay in preparation of our exam.

We then asked them to give us atleast pan and pot, they said they can provide us but old one, we didnt expect how it was till we received them, the paints of the kitcherware were gone and so sticky. We ended up not cooking as we dont want go get sick during our exam.

A/C wasn’t working, we didnt complain it because we dont have time already, we need to focus in our exam. Also we found bed bugs full of blood 🥵.

Staff were very accommodating and friendly though. But the overall stay, poor. Very poor.
