Last Saturday night around 1:30 AM, we were on the hunt for some good late-night food. Our first stop was Mazali Restaurant, but it was completely packed. We then tried Nad Wasit, and that too was full. Finally, we ended up at Malabar Inn Restaurant, located near Hashim Hypermarket, Ajman Industrial Area 1.

🌙 It was quite late, and we were really hoping for something satisfying. One of my colleagues had recommended their charcoal dishes, especially the chicken, saying it was a must-try. Sadly, it was already sold out by the time we arrived. 😔

Despite that, we decided to try a variety of other items. Here's a quick breakdown of what we ordered and how each dish fared:

🍲 Hot and Sour Soup – Warm and tangy with a little kick, but lacked depth and balance in flavor. Just average. 🥞 Rice Pathiri – Soft, thin, and freshly made. A nice complement to spicy curries. 🥞 Ghee Pathal – Good texture and aroma, though slightly dry. Needed a gravy to shine. 🍚 Ghee Rice – Light, fragrant, and buttery, but could use a bit more seasoning to stand out. 🍗 Hyderabadi Chicken – One of the better dishes of the night! Rich, flavorful, and well-spiced. 🌶️ 🍗 Achari Chicken – Tangy with a punch of spice, but a bit too oily for our taste. 🥗 Salad – Simple and fresh. Nothing special, but refreshing alongside the heavier dishes. 🍵 Sulemani – Warm, light, and soothing. A nice way to end the meal. ☕

🎯 Overall Experience: The restaurant had a decent vibe for a late-night meal. Service was okay – not too fast but acceptable considering the hour. A few hits and a few misses in terms of flavor. It’s not a go-to spot for a premium dining experience, but it’s a reasonable choice if you’re in the area late at night.

Tried Mutton DUM biriyani , very delicious and similar taste of Malabar Marriage Biriyani, meat Qty is less when compared with the price charged, Chicken DUM biriyani is average, BEEF DUM biriyani is very delicious, But same qty is less, if they use Bone Beef adding little more qty of meat, will be great. Kerala Meals are also really good, more varieties of small dishes are there, payasam is also good. Fish curry with Prawns was very tasty. Beef Chilly fry tried last night, is good. and half is good to serve one. They has good chef for Biriyani and some experienced chef from PARAGON restaurent. For Kerala meals they need to try Parippu or some other vegetable curry rather than Sambar every day.

Yet to try some other dishes too in coming days

Seating capacity is less, there is seperate family dining too, But they need to do something about the view from the street, need to mask the glass a little restricting the street view. Also, another matter, need an assigned person to allot the empty seats for the arriving dine in customers, some times they say seat full while entering, but may be seats are available for 1-2 person

🥰Absolutely fantastic experience! My dad is from kerala but we r bough up in Mysore so we wr not much exposed to kerala food. But once we reached uae we experienced lot of dishes and verity with him in 2020 and really liked it a lot. Dad is not thr but my mom usually hunt for good resturents as she is very choosy in her 70s

As soon as we entered Malabar we felt that kerala welcome vibes from staff and chef himself When asked for sizzler in fish tho they dint hv they tried on green masala sizzler and it was mind blowing Also they served leaf meals at 3 pm with grandma masala fish as well

The food was well cooked to perfection –chefs put real care into every dish. The service was impeccable as well, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. I’ll try to visit more to try Mutton biryan on banana leaf and many more

They gave sweet and other things in complement when they saw us enjoying true kerarla flavor through full of heart
