Me my friend and her daughter stayed in room 208 for three nights. When we arrived the room was nice and presentable. We enjoyed our stay but I would like to put forward the following suggestions.
We really felt that the room should have had a small fridge. This would have been very handy for keeping drinks cold. I am diabetic and need to drink water quite often and I like it cold. Also because we had takeaway dinner we wanted to keep the leftovers chilled but because there was no fridge we had to throw away the food. I did ask reception about why there is no fridge in the room and she replied premier inn do not offer that facility. Perhaps my suggestion could be considered.
The other strange thing was that there was no phone in the room to call reception. I believe that most hotels have this facility. We had to go out of the room to call reception and no-one answered. My friend then went over to the reception to ask for some cold water but was asked to get it herself from the pub. This in my opinion is not very good service and it would have been nice if premier inn had some form of room service to bring us the water.
Breakfast was good however we felt sorry for the guy serving as he was on his own and had to attend to do many people. It would have been nice if he had some help. I did mention to him that one of the toasters was not working and he said he couldn't really do anything about it. I don't necessarily blame him for this as he was without any form of assistance. The breakfast menu offered pastries but I did not see any pain au chocolat as stated. This is not a major issue however if not available would be nice to advise the guests.
Also and please do not feel I am complaining this is just feedback for consideration. The toasters take forever to toast the bread. I had to put mine in three times to get it properly toasted. People were waiting.
The only complaint I do have is that our room was not cleaned properly for eg a vacuum and on one occasion we had a dirty mug which should have been taken away. The cleaner also left her cleaning spray in our bathroom. Also I accidently spilt some orange juice on the bed for which I apologise but the bedding was not changed. For me personally I would have preferred if there was proper toilet rolls. There seemed to be only single sheets of paper which were quite thin and therefore you had to use quite a few. I bought my own toilet paper.
I was also confused as to why we could not open the window for fresh air. I accept that the room had air conditioning but this was either too hot or too cold and it was hard to find a comfortable temperature.
On the whole a very pleasant stay and yes we would stay again especially if we had a fridge and a phone in the room to call reception.
Lots of great parking space so that was a real bonus
The lady who checked us in and out was very helpful
Thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've stayed at the premier Inn in East Preston twice. Back in March 2024 for 4 nights and again from the 21st to 27th September 2024 for 6 nights. On arrival there's plenty of parking in a large car park. Reception staff member Naomi was very professional, helpful and friendly. Booking in very efficient. On both occasions had a room in the rear annex, a separate building. Had a twin room but unfortunately on arrival found no single bed. This was rectified quickly by being moved to another room the next day. So more than happy. Rooms clean and fresh, plenty of tea and coffee sachets. If more was needed then you could help yourself from reception. Room views are either over the A259 Roundstone bypass or the car park area. No traffic noise can be heard in the rooms thankfully. Unfortunately the Roundstone pub owned by Whitbread has ceased business. Previously the pub and food was very good. Apparently as from back in July 2024 things have changed and the premier Inn staff run the Roundstone. It's now purely for the hotel guests only and not open to the general public. The menu now is extremely limited to something like 4 starters, 6 mains and 4 desert options. Consisting of curry, fish and chips and pizza for the mains. We gave it go on the first night due to a long journey from Cornwall. On entering the restaurant it was empty met by a very friendly and helpful member of staff. Both had the curry and rice but didn't come with the nan bread or pompadom as with most premier inns. Food ok but not amazing. Warm brownies and ice cream for dessert, again nothing memorable. Went for the full English breakfast every morning. I have to say that was brilliant. The service and friendlyness of the staff in the morning. Vickki and Marie were amazing. Lovely staff that looked after us. Very professional and enjoyed seeing them every morning. I would definitely recommend the premier Inn. Staff and rooms brilliant. Just let down on the evening meal options.Hoping that will improve on our...

The heating system was not working. We were not informed of this fact until after trying to get it working we then asked at reception and we were then informed that there was a technical problem and they offered no consideration to us of the inconvenience this caused. Reluctantly a staff member asked if we required a backup heater as only a few were available, this was accepted by me but proved to be inadequate. This condition continued for the whole weekend duration. The heating was also lacking in the attached Premier restaurant so we were unable to enjoy a comfortable evening. Further the bar staff seemed to be pre-occupied causing a delay in service and were very lax although there were few people patronising the bar. Our order of coffee during the evening was undrinkable so with some embarrassment I returned them to the bar staff. I was THEN informed the coffee machines were not working correctly so our money was refunded so we returned to our cold uncomfortable rooms. On leaving I wished to register my complaints however although we waited 10 minutes no member of staff attended the reception desk. We left having spent an unhappy weekend which upset myself, my wife & my friends .If I had not prepaid I would have requested...
