The hotel is nice, staff is great, location is really good and the garden at the back by the creek is gorgeous. However I had the bad luck of getting room number 7, which is a very small cramped room, facing an ugly brick wall, located directly above the gas boiler, and above the kitchen , meaning all the exhaust is evacuated directly below your window level. There is even a sign in the room that advises customers not to open the window because of the exhaust , and use the air conditioner instead...well I would've done that If I had the remote control to it! The room gets very hot at night because of it's location, I woke up sweating , and desperately looked for the AC remote, went downstairs to reception there was nobody. So I had to open the window and listen to the gas boiler and other fans go on and off all night. At morning, some rather unpleasant smells from the kitchen started comin in the room as well. I went for breakfast and asked at reception why wasn't I given the AC remote from the start, the lady apologized and gave me the remote, but failed to state why was the remote at reception and not in the room in the first place! The next night, sleep was considerably improved with the cool air, but you quickly realize that you can't sleep with AC running, because the unit is located directly above the bed , so unless you want to wake up with your eyes swallen, you better switch it off before you fall asleep. Which in turn makes the room stuffed and very warm again. I'm sorry but I just don't see how can management rent out this room to paying guests, it's just unacceptable. I asked for another room, but was told the hotel was full... I would not come back here to be honest. Also food was not great, average at best.

A lovely place to stay, had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute. The staff are welcoming and friendly, make you feel at home. Breakfast was delicious as well, and if you decide to eat lunch or dinner at the bistro, you won't be disappointed! The food is delicious and there is a good amount of options to chose from. My room was lovely and if I got a bit too stir crazy I just popped out to the garden where the view was never boring and the occasional company from staff or other residents made me feel not so alone. Would recommend 2000% if you want a nice place to stay with some amazing people. I know I will be booking a visit again.

What a find this was on the Isle of Sheppey. The hotel is spotlessly clean with an amazing team who can't do enough for you. Everyone was so friendly and made our stay a wonderful one. I travelled with my Mum who has mobility issues and a lovely young man even took her in his car to The Flying Dutchman for our evening meal. We had breakfast on both mornings and the food was delicious and well cooked and there was plenty of choice with different cereals and cooked items. It is just a pity that they don't serve evening meals anymore or we would have eaten there on both days. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Seriously could not fault a thing. I can honestly say it was a pleasant suprise.

We attended for a wedding at the Ferry House Inn. The distance is not too bad. You can get a cab (ensure you pre-book both journeys) some of us got cabs some got lifts, we had no issues.

On arrival the exterior looks plain, simple, nothing breath taking. Parking on site was limited but parking can be found easily elsewhere and for free which is what we did.

The moment you walk in you feel like you are in totally different place. Its like a boutique family run business and they should be proud. Everyone who works there should be. Amanda greeted us at reception. Friendly smile great comminication, the information given was welcoming also highlighting the gem in the back (the terrace/garden) also the security of entering after hours was great also. There were other staff that were happy to take help also. We were taken to our room which was a nice. Thank you.

The room was perfect. I stayed in room 10 with my husband a double room, with shower bathroom/wet room. Contactless card for key entry to room. Same key used for electricity. Clean, comfortable, good storage, loved the bathroom and shower, felt comfortable walking bare foot. Bed was comfortable. Iron and board in room. Tea and coffee facilities. Extra pillows and a safe.

You pre-order breakfast from night before so it would be ready for the time you want in the morning. All you do is go down to the restaurant sit and they ask what room number and your food does not take long to come but all freshly prepared. So so good really enjoyed. Happy to accomodate with any additions or changes.met the chef who was also lovely. Also do not panic like I did one of the mornings. If you forget to hand in your pre-order, they will still accomodate. Chef came out to see us and ask how breakfast was. I am really sorry I forgot his name, but he was a pleasure to talk to. Thabk you for the great food. We had a few coversations with staff at breakfast. All the staff are so friendly and approachable.

The garden/terrace is a gem. There is outdoor seating which looks on to the river. It also has an outhouse with heating and television. We sat there with our drinks from the indoor bar at night and in the morning after breakfast had our hot drinks. Absolutely loved the garden. Looks like they may do barbeques there too (Think I saw one covered)

Checkout was nice and easy. I am so happy I chose this hotel. Would definitely recommend. Its a shame I love in London otherwise I would come more often.

Also some of the other guests that stayed who I knew said the dinner was amazing. Wish I are dinner there. Maybe next time.

Thank you all for our stay. We all enjoyed...

A group of ladies over 50 pre booked a table last Friday at 1.pm. I arrived at 12.50 and as the table wasn't ready we were asked if we would like to go into the garden for a drink. We explained that there would possibly be 8 of us and were told thats not a problem. The garden was lovely and more of our group joined us. Time passed and one of our group went inside to ask if our table was ready, we were told it wasn't. More time passed so one of our group went inside to ask to see the menu. No menu arrived, we asked again by going back inside and eventually the menu was brought out to us. The menus offer main meals which when we booked we had specified we only wanted light bites which we were told wasn't a problem. We went inside again to find the waitress, she said she would have to ask the chef and offered us a choice of panini, sandwich, baguette and omelette. Orders were taken. By now some of the group were getting too hot in the Sun and decided to go inside and only then were we shown our table this was at 2.00. We waited further and our food finally arrived at around 2.35. . My omelette was cold and the cheese was virtually non existent, my salad did not turn up. I did explain that this was unacceptable to the waiter when he asked if everything was okay , I said it wasn't. I don't normally give a bad review and always support local business, however due to the unprofessional response to my friends review, by being called a liar and the "your not welcome any more attitude of the ""owner" I felt compelled to also review this establishment. Oh and omelettes were on the breakfast menu, which you said you had only just stopped serving. Lovely decor and bedrooms looked great, garden area great too, but unfortunately your food and organisation skills let you down along with brandishing your customers as being liars and rude which is totally unacceptable. Wishing you all the best and hopefully this was...
