NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!! It will be easier for me to list the issues along with images. 1. Air Vent – The air vent was filled with an alarming amount of dust, far beyond what could be explained by just a few weeks of neglect. It looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in months. 2. Basin – There were visible strands of hair around the basin. It was revolting and immediately made us question the overall hygiene of the room. 3. Bathroom Corner Behind Bin – Covered in dust. This level of neglect made us feel utterly uncomfortable. 4. Bed – A tear in the duvet cover was bad enough, but the bed itself had far worse issues: o Bloodstain 1 – A visible drop of blood on the mattress protector. o Bloodstain 2 – Another stain, which was even more distressing. How could this have been missed during cleaning? o Yellow Stain – I dread to think what this was. It's completely inexcusable. 5. Carpet – The edges of the carpet were filthy, filled with dust, as if the room hadn’t seen a vacuum in weeks. 6. Headboard – Dust was visibly accumulated on the headboard, adding to the feeling of neglect. 7. Kettle – The kettle was so dirty that we didn’t even want to use it. We ended up going to the McDonald’s next door for coffee the next morning. 8. Kettle Tray – Finding hair in the kettle tray was yet another disturbing sign of how poorly the room had been cleaned. 9. Lamp – Dust was thickly layered across the lampshade. Again, another clear indication that proper cleaning procedures were not followed. 10. Room Thermostat – The thermostat didn’t work, but considering the state of the air vent, I’m relieved, as I wouldn't have wanted to breathe in air circulating from such a filthy source. 11. Table in the Room – There was an unidentifiable substance on the table, which only added to our disgust. 12. Shower – The shower area was an absolute disgrace. From dust to mould, hair, and rust, the condition of this bathroom was simply appalling. I can’t even bring myself to comment on the hard water deposits or rust. 13. Toilet – I’ll let the photos I have speak for themselves, but needless to say, this was yet another area of deep concern.

TL;DR: Premier Inn offers a budget-friendly stay outside Edinburgh with cozy rooms, great water pressure, and easy bus access. Travel times can be long, but the on-site restaurant is excellent. Premier Inn was a comfortable and affordable option just outside of Edinburgh. Its location near bus stops in both directions makes it convenient for travelers without a car, though the bus rides into the city can be a bit long. The rooms were cozy, and while the heater thermostat wouldn’t go above 20°C despite my efforts, the overall comfort made up for it. The water pressure was outstanding, and the pillows were fantastic, making for a good night’s sleep. A big bonus was the on-site restaurant, Brewers Fayre, which served delicious food at very reasonable prices. One thing to note—like on a cruise ship, you need to insert your door key into a slot to turn the lights on. Overall, a great budget stay, but keep travel times in mind if you plan to spend a lot of time in Edinburgh.

Stayed for 2 nights so the rooms are clean and the staff were friendly and helpful so they are the positives however. Location was a bit of a pain seemed to be in the middle of nowhere close to queens Ferry town but be honest the bridges were only the good things if you like that sort of thing it's 25 to 30 mins from edinburgh and it's next door to a macdonalds. It does have a very small car park personally didn't have any problems parking but can see what problems can happen as small area. The room was clean however we were above the brewers fayre extraction system so heard a hum all afternoon and all night the room was hot so kept opening and shutting window as no fan in the room and we kept getting food smells the views were not good . But for a over night business stay it would be ok

We were really disappointed in our stay at the premier inn in South Queensferry. Not a patch on previous experiences we have had at premier inns across the country. Where do we start… Our welcome from the lady as we tried to check in 45 mins earlier than the now 3.00pm “check in policy” was without a hello was “ you will have to pay £15 if you want to check in early” we had travelled 4 hours to get to our destination. I totally understand protocols/procedures but to me this is a money making policy! Really not on if your room is ready why not let someone in. This immediately see me off on the wrong foot with the staff here and felt everything was going to be a hassle. We walked into town and had a lovely lunch. After returning we were faced with a long queue of people trying to check in (this was due to not allowing people to check in early) the very rude lady on reception didn’t lift her eyes to greet us. After remaining in the queue for over 15 mins we were checked in and thrust a key. We were given no direction to where we were going and we had to go back, interrupt another customer to ask directions to our room. I’m arriving to the room we were greeted with what I can only describe as a dirty room. Coffee stains all over the wall. Dirty shower tray. Dust everywhere and corners of carpets thick with dust. We were so disappointed but felt we could go back and complain because the rude receptionist. We decided to “put up” with it and I cleaned what I could with what I had. We were getting an early morning flight at checkout a different lady who I have to say was really pleasant took down details of our complaint and advised us to comment on our experience. Overall not a good nights sleep and certainly not worth the money we paid. Really really...

Having stayed in many premier inns before I was sadly let down by my 2 night stay in a family room - Starting with the cons of booking here because I think this can definitely be worked on for future reference, and the cons of this outweighed the pros sadly..

Cons: Price was excessive for what you actually gained from staying here, room had an awful smell like the carpets needed a good clean and it was like a wall of stench hit you as soon as you entered the room, upon investigation I found the bathroom extractor isolated at the wall and this could very well have been the root of the smell but the smell was stubborn and wouldnt leave once I turned this on - bed was not comfy at all (not what premier inns motto is) - pillows were all hard - room had no air con only a window that opened a crack - only enough 'refreshments' for two coffee and two sachets of white sugar (I'd of expected more from a Premier Inn) - shower had mould round the taps like they needed a good scrub;

Pros: towels were comfy - make up mirror with light on it - HOT water with good shower pressure (I am a stickler for showers with poor water pressure in hotels) is prime location for visiting Edinburgh/surrounding - short drive to Dalmeny train station - next to a garage/mcdonalds & short walk to Tesco - free parking for residents - restaurant attached...
