Dakota Edinburgh | Bar & Grill — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

This is our second Dakota visit ( Glasgow..Eurocental..and Edinburgh a few times each now.. now...Do not go to Dakota Deluxe Glasgow a shower of $..hite. The staff are amazing. The night manager is viscous.

This visit had a couple of issues. The rooms' air con had not been turned on by housekeeping, and it was really hot inside and outside, so not even opening a window would help. The night manager ( a true professional..not like she who would not give her name, at the Dakota Deluxe Glasgow) came up straight away and sorted the Air con but its a passive Eco system, not a freeze ya tips off ( gotta love autocorrect 🤣 ) Derek ya 💎 😍 after a hour he checked with us and the room was still hotter than a hot tub, but without the champs and bikinis TBH noone wants to see me in a 👙 anyway. Derek had a room that was chilled, but it was a two room suite 🤔,I ran soooo fast my tattoos fell off.

Dakota sets the bar high and if its a wee bit lower than you were hoping for, they will fix it.

We're off to the Euro Central next...

My wife and I stayed here with my daughter as a last minute getaway. We were so impressed by this hotel, right from the minute we walked in to the moment we left everything was perfect. The staff are so friendly and attentive to us it was a brilliant experience. We booked an executive room and the decor was really well finished and spacious enough for the three of us. We also used the restaurant and the food was so good. The Fillet steak was cooked to perfection and so tender. The scallops were delicious. We also stayed for breakfast and it was awesome too. All in all we are glad we chose the Dakota and would have no hesitation in booking it again for another night soon. Thank you to everyone who made our stay...

Am afraid can only give 3 stars. Although service was polite and generally efficient there are problems which Mr. Coulthard may wish to take a look at. My partner's glass of wine was insufficiently chilled and all they could do was give a glass of ice. She ordered the roast cod which unfortunately was salted roast cod but not mentioned on the menu and was far too salty instead of the sweetness that one associates with properly salted dishes. My roast chicken was miniscule in size though definitely free range or organic but the prices were over-optimistic for this area.The atmosphere was spoilt by the constant crying of a child and overall the staff need to be trained more extensively to get the best...
