I was traveling solo and had the absolute delight of staying in one of the beautiful rooms of Ardchoille Bed & Breakfast. Heather and Jonathon make sure that you have the type of experience that you dream about when you stay in Scottish lodgings! My room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. I had delicious treats in my room and I had a question rather late in the evening that Jonathon attended to immediately. Heather prepared absolutely scrumptious breakfasts and she gladly tailored them to my more American choices and tastes. Jonathon is a local artist and you will absolutely love viewing his art on many of the walls and in the rooms. In addition to Kirkmadrine, the trek up the hill to the Dunskey Castle ruins is completely worth it - the views back down to the village and across the Irish Sea are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. In summation, I can recommend a stay at Ardchoille with absolutely no hesitation or caveats - it will completely exceed your expectations and you will have the pleasure of the company of two wonderful people...
