I booked this hotel as we needed 4 double rooms and this was the only available place to accommodate us. When we booked, there was no option to 'book parking' on the booking.com page. We arrived and found the carpark hidden around the back of the hotel. After much clutch burning and wheel spinning, we got both cars on the car park, to be greeted by a man who didn't look to pleased we had parked there as we hadn't booked a space. He also told us we should of parked on the double yellow lines at the front of the hotel, blocking the road to check in first...….||The staff were very friendly and attentive, ||but it was like something out of faulty towers. Clearly, we were put on the top floor out of the way as I booked as a group (fully understandable) ||||We all got to our rooms, and the only reaction was to laugh ||- car mats in the bathroom was my particular favourite, along with the tea and coffee shelf screwed to the wardrobe. The ill fitting doors to the bathroom in all rooms meant everyone knew your bowel movements.||||Very dated, cracked, cold, damp. Sort of clean, but not to a hotel standard. Random hair dryers dotted around the landings resting on top of fire extinguishers was also a particular 'feature'||||||We did all sleep well, but that may of been the 12 hour drinking stint in the day.||Breakfast was OK. Coffee was good, food was average (toast hadnt seen a toaster) and it was like eating in your nans dining room.||||If you want a proper blackpool hotel, book here. Its like something from time team.||||PS: dont go in october as they run...
Read moreWhere do I start with this review... I have to say this is one of the worst B&Bs I've ever stayed in. My inlaws booked and paid this for us as they were in a B&B around the corner and it was full and it was a last minute decision to stop in Blackpool for us. We had a family room which was room 2. It was for my husband myself and our twin boys. The place is do dated it was like travelling back in time. It hasn't been decorated since the early 80s. It smelt of a really old persons house. The bedding didn't match and was awful. Wall paper hanging off the wall, mould on bathroom ceiling. Old fashioned smelly arm chair smashed window. Awful carpet. The ensure was hideous. Really old electric shower that didn't work properly obviously no thermostat on it as it wld be scalding hot then freezing cold there was no way I was putting my boys in that shower it wld have burnt them. My husband slept on top of the bed wuth a towel on it with his clothes on. He refused to use the shower and we refused to stay for breakfast. When we checked out she asked if we were staying for breakfast I said no and she seemed shocked I told her about the shower and she said previous people maybe left it on hot I said I know how to adjust a shower. I then said I felt the room was not worth £89 she said I beg your pardon I said it was very dated and felt dirty she said the room shld have been £128. Christ the Hilton is across the road and £130 for a family room. She was very rude and how she can't see that the ace us awful I don't know. ||Best thing about the place is...
Read moreAs a party of 6,a couple and 4 friends we booked 3 rooms i double and 2 twin rooms. On arrival everything was perfect. After a day out in town we arrived back to one of our rooms to find that we had a leek in our ceiling after a long weekend of rain because it was the early hours of the morning we decided to move one of the beds away from the leek and report it at breakfast in the morning to which we were told they couldn't do anything about it now which was a fair comment because it was breakfast time. At no stage were we after any kind of refund we were simply pointing out a problem. Unfortunately one of our guests lost a key to a room and was deemed far more important than the leek in one of the rooms. After departing we were charged £20 for losing a key(fair charge) but at no stage were we offered a reduction in room charge for a leek in the ceiling, which disrupted our sleep, in fact they had a builder look at the room who said that there was no problem with a leek, maybe we should have disturbed the proprietors at 01.30 to have a look. Very disappointing attitude from the proprietor. Definitely will not be...
