AND I STICK TO MY REVIEW AS EVERYTHING I STATE IS TRUE CAN YOU? !Last Saturday i ordered the crispy duck, it was disgusting, dry and hard, we did telephone to complain and showed them pics of our complaint. The woman agreed. This week we got a 10% discount ordered beef curry, egg fried rice, chilli chips prawn toast and satay chicken skewers. In the rice was part of a cocktail stick that my husband got stuck in the roof of his mouth, the rice was luke warm. The chicken satay, frankly was a joke, bland skewers of over cooked chicken, and the tub of sauce to go with the satay was, im not sure how to describe it, browny coloured water with some kind of spice in it nothing at all like a satay sauce should be. To sell under quality food to people is quite frankly disgusting. So if you are reading the reviews on this resturant then do yourself a favour and go order food from another place....
Read moreMy husband and myself were staying at the Imperial Hotel, we wanted a change from the hotel for our evening meal and found New Treasure City on Google. What an amazing find. It was only just up the road from the hotel so very handy. The staff were lovely and friendly and we were shown to our table even though we hadn't booked. We really like Chinese food and the menu had lots of choice. For starters we chose chicken lettuce parcels and fillet steak rolls in black bean sauce. We agreed to share the starters and it was difficult to decide which was best as they were both delicious. For our main course we chose fried beef in Cantonese sauce and chicken with pineapple plus a portion of rice which was plenty for two. Both dishes were plentiful and really tasty. The service was just right for us with a short break between courses. We both had drinks and the cost for the food and drinks was just over £50, an absolute bargain for the quality and generous portions. We will definitely be visiting again the next time we are...
Read moreI don't like to do a bad review but when I'm struggling to find a saving grace, well no credit where it is due. I ordered chicken satay skewers and Singapore noodles. The chicken skewers were overcooked to the point were I was tearing the chicken from the skewers rather than just biting Like perished rubber rather than chicken and it was so salty that I left most of it. Author Bill Bryson wrote a book of a tour of Ireland in which he made his way around the emerald isle judging Chinese restaurants only on Singapore noodles as he says this is the benchmark meal to judge the best food. I agree on that so my first time in a Chinese I always go for this. This one was sad and very underwhelming. It was not at all spicy beyond lashings of salt again. I found half a dozen small prawns and a splash of shreds of chicken. No real veg or colour to the dish and not worth the money. I won't be returning. Sorry I can't...
