As a group who stay all over Wales on our trips it is the single worst stay we have had. We arrived and it was raining heavily. The host said as our jackets and trousers were wet from motorcycling we werent allowed in like that. Expected us to strip off to our pants in his shed up the garden, hang the gear up in a shed and walk back down the garden in our pants in the rain, past his family and other guests to be allowed in??? It got a bit grumpy. We said we would take our boots off and hang our gear in the bathroom to dry. He was not having any of it. So we had an empass. Have they never had a wet walker stay? In the end we got to the room. But all of the kit that was hung in his shed was dripping wet. Then he moaned in the morning that we hadn't filled out the breakfast options. Had he told us we had to fill it out we would have!!! He was really grumpy and the whole party was upset, trying to avoid his confrontations. An argument ensued as he wanted it filled in that morning but didnt supply a pen with the request!!!. There were no cook breakfast options beyond a full cooked breakfast. No scambled egg on taost or poached egg etc. Nice cooked though, but we did think he would throw it at us he was so rude. They had a jack russel locked in a shed in the drive everytime we turned up too. we thought that was really cruel. The place was clean though and a nice location. The bathroom was so tiny and not fit for a 3 person room see pics. You couldnt lean over the sink as it was tiny and a little shelf above it. Had to use the loo with the door open. Luckly the hotel we were drinking at were great and told us to bring our clothes to dry at...
Read moreI recently booked Bronwye for a one-night stay. The booking process was really simple and I got my confirmation straight away. I received clear instructions from the owners on how to find the property and about the free parking. I managed to find the location with ease and the check-in process was a breeze. My room was really well appointed and it had all the amenities I could expect. Included WiFi was fast, plenty of refreshments and biscuits were provided and my room was nice and clean. It was a lot better than I expected and I was pleasantly surprised. Sandra and Tony were excellent hosts and I got some tips from both of them for my trip. I had a great start the following morning with a freshly prepared full English breakfast that was included with my booking.
Overall I had a really comfortable stay and would recommend Bronwye to anyone looking for a comfortable and reasonable stay in...
Read moreWe booked Bronwye Guest House at the very last moment as the result of a family bereavement and were accompanied by my father who has trouble walking. Tony and Sandra were very helpful and understanding of our situation. The accommodation exceeded all our expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice views over the churchyard or the park. Comfortable beds and lots of small touches that make all the difference such as a carafe of iced water in our room when we arrived. Excellent breakfast served in a cosy dining room. Sandra's homemade yoghurt a particular treat. Absolutely...
