My wife and I had the good fortune to stay here for 2 nights (Sat and Sun)on our way to Cornwall for a well earned break before Christmas. Burcott Mill is a beautiful B and B in a beautiful little village near Wells. We stayed in the Stable Suite which was immaculate and very comfortable. It had a lovely lounge area and split level area accommodating the bathroom with one of the deepest baths I have ever seen. So luxurious and relaxing. Louise and Steve were great hosts, excellent communication before we arrived and very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast menu had a wonderful full English as well as all the usual cereals, toast and jams, juices and cooked vegetarian options. Close to Wells, Wooky Hole and Cheddar Gorge, this was the perfect start to our weeks holiday. We would have no hesitation staying again. My only advice to travellers wanting an evening meal would be to pre-book a table at the local pubs in plenty of time, especially at weekends, as they get very busy. We left it till about 6pm before ringing around and they couldn’t get us a table after 7pm. We ended up going to the Riverside Fusion Indian restaurant which were able to fit us in after 8pm. I would highly recommend The Burcott Mill Guesthouse.

We stayed for 3 nights. Lovely large, clean and comfortable room. Louise and Steve were very friendly and welcoming. Great selection for breakfast with home made bread using the flower from the working mill within. Service was fantastic with no complaints from us.Pubs are walking distance for dinner. Wells town is minutes drive away with a large selection of cafe, restaurants and takeaways.Thank you for the wonderful stay. We will be back to stay again.

Lovely hosts. Rooms are lovely. I do love the uniqueness of the place and the little details they put in the rooms. Only 2 faults found. 1 the TV is tiny with terrible sound and the 2nd you can hear people walking above you which gets a bit annoying. There is also some amazing history here with the Mill. Overall it is great here and would stay here again.

Absolutely perfect guest house set in a small village within easy reach of Glastonbury, Cheddar, Wells and Bath.|Lovely building (a working mill) with clean, spacious & comfortable rooms, a peaceful garden and an extremely tasty breakfast - we went for the cooked breakfast each morning served with juice, hot drinks and the home baked Spelt bread toast (which was so good, we purchased a couple of loaves at the end of our visit).|As it is a working mill, don't miss the opportunity to see the demonstration if they are milling while you are there, Steve gave a very informative talk and it was a fascinating insight into products made using traditional methods.|Louise was always at hand to give out tips on the area and generally make you feel at "home".|For a couple of animal lovers, it was great to have the company of Steve and Louise's two cats who were delightful. It was also pleasing to be greeted by their Guinea pigs on arrival and departure!|All in all, we were very pleased that we chose the Burcott Mill for our four nights...

We loved staying here. We had the loft, which was a little suite of two bedrooms and our own bathroom. Each bedroom had its own sitting area and TV, so it's ideal for families. It was bright, light and airy, really clean, and the beds were comfy. The hot chocolate, coffee bags, and posh biscuits next to the kettle were a lovely touch. The owners were so friendly and we were made really welcome. Breakfast was beautiful, and there was something for vegetarians and vegans too. The toast was made with homemade bread, delicious with their local honey. We loved stopping to say hello to their pet guinea pigs outside. What a fab stay, we can't wait to come back and wake up to the sound of...
