Bought what we thought was a high qaulity set of sofas at the end of last year. Waited 10 weeks and new suite arrived.
Quickly noticed how easily the cushions would lose their shape. Contacted Grampian Furnishers and they passed us on the Gillies (the owners) after sales. They sent out a couple technicians to inspect the sofa. Both of who preformed some WWE style wrestling moves on the cushions to get them back into shape and deemed it a dressing issue. They recommend dressing the sofa several times a day to retain its shape.
After the second technician visit the aftersales team got in touch with the manufacturer and said they would replace the cushions that were causing the issue as a gesture of "good will". However, the manufacturer of the sofa were only willing to cover half the cost of the cushions and i would have to cover the other half. Therefore, it's not a gesture of good will at all. Grampian Furnishers/Gillies were not willing to cover the other half of the cushions as they were paying £30 for the postage of the new cushions.
I am unwilling to spend anymore on the anymore on the sofa after spending the guts of £2500 on buying them. 100% would not recommend. Better off going to wayfair and buying a sofa for...
Read moreSofa looked good when we tried it in store. Within six months of normal daily use the sofa seat cushions had sagged and softened so much it was uncomfortable to sit on. In less than a year you could feel the sofa frame through the cushions. Complained to the company and an assessor was sent out to look at the problem. Apparently the wear wasn’t covered by the insurance we purchased when we bought the suite. £5000 worth of sofa lasting less than a year and now we’re having to pay to have it fixed. It will probably need repairing again in a years time as it is being repaired with the same inferior materials as it was originally manufactured from. This is in no way acceptable value for money. I would expect a sofa of that price to last at least 5 years or longer before needing any repair work. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing a sofa/suite from this company, you are paying through the nose for an inferior product that just doesn’t last and having to pay to have it repaired yourself. Read moreGreat service and kept me up to date on my new sofa order. Delivered when expected and the delivery men instantly noticed and told us that it looked like sofa had been dropped before they recieved it and the frame was broken, which was only noticable once wrapping was off.
They dealt with everything and even got the sofa company to replace both the broken sofa but also the other sofa in our order as the fabric could be noticeably different once replaced.
We ow have use of the current delivered sofa until the new ones are built as it's a 3 month build wait as per original order, then it's like getting another new sofa!
