While the Premier Inn Hotel was not the cleanest one Iāve stayed in, my 3 night stay was made much worse by the eating facilities. The restaurant was filthy, the floor was so sticky in every part of the area that it was difficult to walk in trainers or shoes because my feet literally stuck to it. The clean glasses still had traces of lipstick on and the tables were also sticky and covered in crumbs even when I was the first down to eat for breakfast. My company paid a lot of money for me to stay there and booked in the āmeal dealā allowance. However, each day I was told āyouāre not showing as having a meal deal, thereās nothing on our system for your room numberā and the staff always blamed the hotel staff for not doing their job properly. I was therefore told to wait aside everyday while someone physically went and confirmed next door with the hotel. When they tried ringing the hotel reception there was no answer. When they eventually confirmed daily that I did have a meal deal, I was then ignored until everyone else in the queue in front of me was served. I felt totally embarrassed and the staff even stated that the situation with the lack of communication with the hotel was āstressing them outā. Overall the customer service was really bad and I was made to feel like a nuisance. The bed and towels were clean, but everything else was filthy. I would not recommend eating anything here or staying longer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJudging by some of the previous Tripadvisor reviews on here, we were not expecting good things. However, when we arrived we were really surprised as everywhere was thoroughly clean with no dodgy smells as previously described! ||Mia on reception duty had a lovely smile and was really welcoming to greet us. We had a minor issue at check-in but Mia swiftly dealt with this to our satisfaction. ||We had booked 2 accessible rooms one of which had the Premier Inn's usual modern decor but the other was extremely old and dated, dimly lit and a bit oppressive. All of the rooms should be decorated with the same design brief, regardless of size/shape. ||We have to say though that the rooms were spotlessly clean and we had the best night's sleep in both rooms. 10/10||We had our evening meal and breakfast in the Brewers Fayre restaurant located above the hotel (you can walk through the hotel into the restaurant without going outside). The previous reviews we'd read about here too weren't good either but again we found the restaurant to be clean, staff were attentive and the quality of the food was good....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood, we had a good night's sleep very comfortable.
Sofa wasn't made up for daughter, receptionist offered to help us after we asked for linen, we sorted it. therefore only 2 towels for showers when 3 of us stayed there, we shared. Hardly no shower gel in dispenser hubby went without. Restaurant - Cooked breakfast was good (but we were spoilt in a 4star in manchester city) we did have seconds daughter was free.
Staff were a little strapped to help you as clearing tables Restaurant is open to public so they were trying to clear tables and get them in the kitchen and get clean ones, serve at the bar and sort something else just a little ahhh! but had good communication to help people, but could do with more staff they were a little serious , I took mushrooms out with a ladel, there was a green pea in there. š
Would go back as we know where it is, our 8 year old loved it first time.
You get what you're given and that was better...
