We stayed the night before Glastonbury carnival thinking we could have a good night's sleep and nice breakfast before waiting the next day for the carnival but this was not the case!! Friday evening we booked into the restaurant next to the Premier Inn for 7.45pm was greeted by a member of staff who abruptly marched us over to the corner of the room next to the toilets, which was a crowded area depression, shabby interior with food stains left on the walls. We asked if we could move into the main area of the restaurant by a window and was told No it was closed even though people were sitting in there we were given no other option to sit anywhere else. I also asked if the play area would be open at breakfast as thats why we had chosen this premier inn and if they were doing breakfast with santa again, was told No to this with no sympathy. I ordered a glass of wine before my meal which was awful so after one sip asked if I could change it, didn't mind paying extra for a better wine. Was told again No it was my own preference nothing was wrong with the wine and if I wanted another glass I'd have to pay for both!! I ordered a steak which was fine except it was ouzing blood even tho I'd ask for medium to well done. My hasbands vegan burger was very poor, we had to pay an extra £2 for a another burger wkthin the burger and it looked nothing like the photograph had hardly any salad dressing. Was rubbish quality. We found the staff extremely unfriendly and it seemed almost like the waitress had a problem with me from the word go. The next morning we went over for breakfast at 10.25 and were not allowed in by another unfriendly robot even tho reception said last breakfast was at 11 and never mentioned we had to book. We had had a terrible night in the room with no sleep as the room was so hot and we couldn't regulate the temperature. My Son at 4am said he was going to be sick he was so hot and me and my husband felt like we couldn't breath, he was hyperventilating. We all had sore throats in the morning. We spoke with customer services about these issues but they didn't care less that our weekend had been ruined by such a negative experience. I've stopped at other Premier Inns all over the country but by far this is the worst I've ever stayed at, no sleep and bad customer service in restaurant thats if your...
Read moreJust finished our stay here at this premier inn. We came here around the same time last year and to be fair it has gone right down hill. When we first checked in they put us in a family room when there was just two of us. We discovered that there was a green stain on the pillows, bits on the floor, mysterious white stain on the sofa bed and dust everywhere. We were not happy so we asked to be moved, the receptionist was very apologetic and was quick to move us when we stated that we are returning customers. We were moved to the top floor, a word of warning in the summer the rooms do get hot, the window only opens about 2cm, there’s no air conditioning that is defo false advertising, and the fan just blows out dust. There was a large amount of mould in the shower and scum around the taps, shower seal etc.
We were staying for 4 nights, our room was not refreshed throughout our whole stay we had to ask for more coffee and tea everyday, and fresh towels. You have to request for your room to be freshened up?!?!?? The pub downstairs I would avoid very overpriced and food was plastic tasting. There is a large amount of other pub in Bridgewater just a 5 min drive. The garage downstairs is great very cheap for where it’s located just off the M5.
To be fair I don’t think I would stay here again, worse experience this time,...
Read moreStaying for work. - Poor Service. Late breakfast, Rooms ok, a little tired. Would I stay again ? No, i may consider another location.
Breakfast From 6:30am. Well, the doors opened about 6:40, nothing was ready for that early breakfast. Cereals were empty for two days, each morning having to ask for utensils to the continental area. Main breakfast was pretty good once you got it. Plates freezing cold in the morning, even though they seemed to be on warmers. So your food got cold quickly.
If you want to have breakfast before you get on your scheduled bus at 7 am, good luck. With breakfast opening late, you either make a quick takeaway so you can run out the door with it or eat what you can with the time you have. You can't relax as it feels like chaos.
You cant complain, as the staff running the breakfast also work in the hotel on reception.
Very poor, waiting outside the restaurant for breakfast in the cold for almost 10mins.... Open the doors at 6:30am as advertised, let your customers come in and grab drinks or continental while you get the hot breakfast ready. It's poor service to leave customers outside your advertised opening time.
You may read that the restaurant is under refurbishment, it is, but the poor service has nothing to do with the refurbishment.
Very...
