Greggs — Restaurant in England

The ever present trait of Greggs understaffing in an industrial area full of workers hungry and wanting some breakfast (understandably and no doubt well deserved). Alas some poor lone worker was having to manage demand alone. After a 10 minute wait I gave up as was losing any time I’d managed to maintain on my commute. This is no reflection of the poor person being put under pressure to run around like a headless chicken but when there is clear demand (I’d bet this is the same routine daily at this peak period) there’s clearly a need for additional staff. Popped into as in the area, in need of a hot drink. Its a great shame when ordering that the staff do not offer a large hot drink and just make a normal size for customers. It was only by chance that I saw on the menu board whislt in the queue, an advert for make it large for an extra 30p. What a great opportunity missed out by Gregg's to up sell its large hot drinks Otherwise a good little shop, clean tidy, stocked as well as it could be for a lunch time and so...

pros: great consistency in great food, exactly what you expect from a Greggs, the staff were friendly and patient with me (app wasn't working) however the 1 star deduction is because I asked for a Hot Chocolate made with just milk,.... I was told that was okay and charged... the hot chocolate was made with water and didn't taste great.... either say you cant make it with milk only or offer a surcharge .. I don't mind paying 20p extra for a milk only...
