I recently stayed here for five nights while working away. I experienced two different rooms: one on the ground floor facing the reception entrance and another on the first floor overlooking Lidl. Despite the location, both rooms were relatively quiet. However, the lack of an elevator made accessing the first-floor rooms inconvenient, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage. The reception staff were generally friendly, though one taller staff member was quite dismissive and made me feel like a bother when I asked for help opening the door to carry my food to my room. The rooms were acceptable but uncomfortably warm and stuffy, which was frustrating as most hotels I stay in offer air conditioning. A fan was provided, but it wasn't sufficient to cool the room. The heat made three of my nights quite uncomfortable. The bathrooms were standard; the ground floor had excellent water pressure, while the upstairs room had less. The restaurant was adequate. Fridays were particularly busy, possibly due to understaffing; there were only three staff members, including the chef, most nights. There was an older gentleman who was exceptionally helpful and a young woman with black hair who was also lovely, along with another lady working on the evening of August 1st. The food was pretty average. The fish and chips weren't great, and the lack of mayonnaise and cutlery was inconvenient. My favorite dishes were the mixed grill and the pizza. For breakfast, I only had granola, but the staff were lovely, and the selection was great. Although just to note the chef hadn’t arrived when I got in for breakfast the 1st of August at about 0715hrs which I found odd. In summary, the location was excellent for my work needs, but the lack of air conditioning made the stay uncomfortable.

It's a Premier Inn, so the design is pretty standardised. I don't mind a Premier Inn honestly. But this one... what's going on with the toilet?! I'm a stocky 6ft man and the damn toilet roll holder is so close to the toilet that it's practically over the top of it!!!! It's difficult to take a dump at an angle Premier Inn!!! Very difficult! I don't know what kind of tiny people are sleeping here but I doubt somebody that's half my size was be able to have a comfortable poo here. The toilet is also practically inches from the wall. It's such a stupid design flaw. Come on Premier Inn. How about using a little brain power? Otherwise decent enough, comfortable bed, clean room, free parking, blah blah blah.

Comfy beds, clean, polite receptionists, only down fall is our room is backed onto the carpark so when you have the window open you hear all the car doors slamming etc, but i honestly couldn't fault the location, staff and hotel. Would definitely recommend šŸ™‚

Avoid!! Booked a family room, 2 kids 1 aged 2 years and other 3 month old. The temp in the room was ridiculously hot, even with 2 fans on and the window partially open! The temp hit 30 degrees inside and getting hotter even though it was raining and cool outside at 18 degrees! The hallway and other parts of the hotel seemed normal temp, so went to reception to request a new room as this temp was unsafe with a 3 month baby! (Both kids could not sleep even after a tiring day out)! Reception could not help with getting another room or nearby hotel as none available, so the only option was to either suffer or leave. So we left only having stayed there for 5 hours ish (Checked in 4th Sept circa 8pm, complaint made at midnight and left the hotel on 5th Sept circa 1am!) and sacrificed our holiday up north, ended up driving back down south in the middle of the night! Spoke to guest relations, who were utterly useless (lady named Daniel), who kept referring to no air con in the hotel!! This issue has nothing to do with the hotel not having air con! Its plain and simple, if the temp outside is 18 and cool, how can the room be 30 degrees with 2 fans on, window partially open and other parts of the hotel being cool. Even though this was explained, she outright refused a refund and in my opinion against their so called ā€œgood night guaranteeā€ policy!!! I have emailed in via the feedback form and will await the outcome from that. If I don’t get the refund, will pursue this further on the basis of...

So far! When we booked we were not under the impression that we would have to climb a flight of stairs to get to our room. We have never stayed in one of your inns that stiffs not have a lift. We asked for a room with a walk in shower, we were told they had all gone. We were then told we had to walk up the stairs, I have a bad arthritic knee at the moment and my husband it's experiencing a problem with a torn ligament. So for both of us this had caused us a problem. We asked for a double and have been given a twin. All in all not a good experience so far. There is a piece of metal sticking it on the floor, as there is no phone in the room I could nut report it, on our way out the receptionist was busy with a foreign guest so we could not report this problem. I just hope we don't trip over it in the night. We have always been more than happy with your rooms, in fact the best. Someone told me recently that they always complained of a bad nights sleep to get his stays for nothing. Please believe me when I say that I do not believe in this practise. None the less I think you ought to stress that most if your rooms are only accessed by stairs our better still install a...
