Blackwood Residence — Hotel in Hyndburn

My experience at Blackwood Residence was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my concerns as the property did not meet the expectations or standards promised.||Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the room was masked by the smell of air freshener which is a concern. There was mold in various areas (shower and windowsill) . |The bathroom facilities were none excitant and looked very tired and dated. Free toiletries as advertised? Take your own as there were two pathetic bars of soap.|Also stated sockets near bed? There wasn't any. False advertising. ||Someone has also stated on the reviews that the staff were brilliant, there's nobody there!!!.||Additionally, the amenities listed on the website were either outdated or nonexistent. For instance, the advertised (description of property) said there was Wi-Fi, there wasn't any! False advertising. ||Furthermore, the noise levels in the accommodations were excessive, with thin walls that allowed sound to travel easily from neighboring rooms. People shouting and slamming of doors. ||Overall, it was disappointing to experience to stay here for just an hour! |Without hesitation, I booked myself into a hotel and spa just down the road. I believe that guests deserve accommodations that are not only clean but also well-maintained and true to their advertisements. We booked a double room and was pleasant and spacious. We had a family crisis that nearly meant we couldn't come but the owner was very accommodating. Facilities were better than originally thought with communal lounge and kitchen upstairs and down with fridge cooker and washer.
