Unclear how this place has so many good ratings. I absolutely regret staying here. There are much better values in London. Room is exceptionally tiny, even by London standards. One not-very-tall person could easily stretchacross the entire width of the room. The "desk" is actually just a cramped shelf, barely large enough to hold a laptop, and the kettle (which can not be moved) is located on a shelf above it. The chair for the desk can't be moved back from the desk because it only has about eight inches of clearance before it hits the bed. If you sit in the chair, you will be pressed directly against the desk and have no room to move. I found it necessary to remove the chair and use it as a coat rack instead and work by sitting on the bed without any back support. The closet/wardrobe is in a corner behind the desk and very inconvenient to access. But if you use the chair as a coat rack, then at least you won't need to get back there for your coat. Beds were acceptable, though on the short side. Linens were European standard (bottom sheet and comforter only) and neatly made each day. There's no temperature control within the room except for a plugin fan stored on top of the closet. The hairdryer is attached to the wall in the main bedroom area, not the bathroom. The bathroom is even tinier, with a semi-round glass shower enclosure that barely has enough room to stand up straight. The amenities were spartan. Combined hair and body wash and conditioner in pump bottles in the bathroom (the pumps had to be manually pulled upwards to get them to pump), and hand wash over the sink. A kettle is provided with NestlƩ instant coffee (regular and decaf) and the worst tea bags I've ever encountered. In London of all places! There is nothing even resembling a lobby. The stairwell/hallway is just as cramped as everywhere else, and there's no noise isolation to speak of, so you will hear everyone coming at going at whatever hours. And if you're in the front rooms, you'll also hear every car that drives by (it's a busy and quite noisy road) and several of the people in the street, as well. There's very little within walking distance (but do visit the Turkish restaurant two blocks west, as they really deserve their 4.9 star rating). Practically every route into London will involve a bus, a taxi, or a 20-minute walk. The only bright spot in this miserable hotel is the cleaning staff, who keep the rooms spotless.

Nice and big rooms, well lit and very nice and spacious, large head Showers. Very comfortable beds. Hair dryers, Kettle etc for making your morning drinks is in the bedrooms, plenty of charge points and free WiFi. McDonald's just next door and convenience stores just around the corner. Surprisingly quiet considering it's next to the main road. Very friendly and polite staff, they gave a 20% off coupon for my next visit which was a bonus as I will definitely come back to this place. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks šŸ‘

I hardly ever leave reviews but as a 22 year old woman, This is my second stay here and this time I was alone. It’s so convenient, a bus away from vauxhall station, the Victoria line. I came far too early after not realizing that check in was at 2pm. I was heading to a festival at 2pm and the receptionist kindly passed the message on to cleaners that my room was priority. He didn’t have to, the cleaners didn’t have to but they did anyway! Will continue to come back here in the future :)

I'm extremely disgusted and disappointed in this guest house. I work and travel in and out of London a lot, and need Hotels on a regular basis. And always book through hotel.com. unfortunately after an accident, it meant that I needed to have an emergency appointment in London with a spinal specialist, and needed accommodation ASAP. ||I booked a room, inputting the dates i required: 19th - 20th June. However, the dates confirmed were for the week after : 26th -27th June.. I'm not sure how this happened, it is possible it was my own error due to being on strong medication & in pain, and not clearly thinking correctly.||However, the confirmation email came through, and I immediately realised my mistake. Within seconds I phoned the hotel directly and explained the situation, and they didn't care. ||No refund as that's there policy, or pay an extra £107 on top of what I'd already paid for the room. I was not prepared to pay £200 for a basic guest house room. Especially when I've stayed in much nicer places for the same price or less. |I believe they thought i would pay it because it was an emergency and i was in a vulnerable situation with limited options of were to stay that were close to the specialist.||I escalated the issue with Hotels.com. who were great, but the guest house still refused to give me a refund. ||I will not be using this guest house ever. And would urge others to be wary of them..Especially when booking dates in. Errors happen, but empathy and common desensity is a gift and lost on most people. These are not the kind of people I would want to stay with. ||They took advantage of my situation, and yes I take full responsibility for not checking & double checking the correct dates. But arrogance and money grabbing at someone's misfortune and simple mistake...

I have received by far the best customer service in my life at this hotel. After misunderstanding the late check in policy I called the number on the door and a women named Lais answered and she reassured me and said she would be over as soon as possible even thought it was outside of her work schedule. Upon her arrival I wanted to give her a tip for causing such an inconvenience and instead she apologised to me for the inconvenience I incurred. I was at a loss for words and I am Infinitely grateful for the hospitality and her devotion to her job. And once I entered the room I was really impressed by how clean and large the room was considering this hotel is near the Center of London and is reasonably priced. And the complementary tea, coffee and biscuits that are available in the room where the icing on the cake. I cannot recommend this hotel enough simply because of the sheer devotion of the employees and the great value you get for the room considering the price and location. But beware and make sure you fully understand the late check in policy and if you are planning to check in after 9 make sure to get in contact with the folks at this hotel at least a day in advance so they can...
