AVOID THIS PLACE Had the worst experience ever. I made a booking using Booking.com for 3 nights from the 29th of April till the 02nd of May. Our flight was delayed, and we arrived around 3am on the 30th. The reception was unattended and the security guard told us to wait. So we did waited for a few minutes and then the reception guy came and told we would have to wait about 20 minutes to do the check in due to a system issue or something. He was a bit rude and didn’t explain properly, so we waited. We were super tired and just wanted to get a good sleep. Anyways, next morning we went out and spend the whole day doing touristy stuff and when we come back around 8pm our cards were not working anymore. I came to the reception to check what was going on and the lady told me that someone from night staff said that we would be doing the check out early (whaaaat?), and then they removed all our stuff from the room. It was everything in plastic bags at the reception. Unreal. Never felt so violated in an accommodation before. 1st I never told anyone that we would check out early. 2nd I paid for three nights in advanced so what was the point to remove our belongs from our room? The lady at the reception asked me if I was sure I never spoke to anyone about an early check out? I asked her if she thinks I’m crazy.? I had told her already twice I’ve never spoken to anybody. The only thing I did the night before was the check in which I paid for 2 nights (with my credit card using y password) as the 1st night was already held from my card the day before I arrived. (which I’m not happy to have paid due to all the situation I have explained) They might have had a confusion with the rooms or something. Thankfully our room was still available and we were checked in again.
I felt violated to have all my belongings removed from my room, felt humiliated and frustrated all at same time. IBIS should train the staff to treat better the customer. They made a refund and even with that they have messed up. They credited 180 pounds but debited 90 pounds at the same day (they said it was a mistake (another one again). So at the end they have refunded me less than a half I have paid. I could not expect much. If you have the chance do not book at this...
Read moreStayed in room 127 from January 29 2020 until February 2, 2020. The receptionist named Mark I believe ( working on February 1st, 2020 around 530pm) threatened to call the police on me, when I simply told him that's not very good hospitality and I'm gonna make sure that I will leave a review. It all started with me and partner coming in with a sandwich from outside and started eating at one of the 20 tables in the lobby area. First off a second receptionists comes to us other thn mark comes to us and rudely advises us that you need to register the car or it will be towed while we had started eating. Upon advising that we have a room here and the car has been registered since day 1, he leaves from our table . The second short heighted receptionist named Mark? Walks and orders us that we immediately take our sandwiches to our rooms. Upon that I advised him that a review will be on the internet. He accuses me that was a threat. Me and family were here for business staying in rooms 127, 131 and 313 all with the same last names and we wont be returning . They are too cheap to even give a 2nd coffee, when we booked with breakfast included. The overall condition of the hotel reflects with the cheapness of the management. To add, they rent to people dependent on council to pay for their housing. Junkies walk around the lobby and the parking lot asking them to buy meals inside or cigarettes. I bought the first 2 meals but soon came to know off the situation. I'm talking about grown fit able men. Also the pictures are very deceiving. Cramped up rooms, tiny washrooms, pungent smell all over and on top of that zero courtesy. Might as well rent the whole hotel to council. We come again next month and it will be premier inn. Hope it doesnt belong to the same...
Read moreI am going to modify my review, since I put a review and the response of the hotel has been to classify my review as "misleading”, instead of apologizing for the bad treatment received. In the original review I put that we had left headphones in the room when we left and that no one from the hotel had answered us to emails or cell phones, because at that precise moment, that was the case. After I posted my review, they answered my email, BUT: in the email I asked them for help to find out if they could manage the shipment because, obviously, I live in another country, and it is becoming very difficult for me to manage a company that go to pick up the headphones, I sent them my address and I told them that I WOULD PAY THE AMOUNT OF THE SHIPPING, the reply to the email was that the headphones were at the reception ready for collection; 0 customer support, 0 advice. Answering an email is not synonymous with serving the customer. Also, since they have described my review as misleading, I am going to expand it, describing everything that we experienced and that in the previous review I had omitted; Upon arrival, the person who served us barely spoke to us or looked at our faces. From then on they did not address us again, we spent a week in the hotel; no good morning, no good afternoon, no greeting, nothing. I have traveled a lot and have not seen anything like it. One night we decided to order some drinks at the reception, and the worker who served us just rolled his eyes and snorted, it seems that he was quite annoyed by serving us for something that we were going to PAY and that they are supposed to sell. The only friendly worker who was a 10 was the woman who cleaned the rooms. The facilities are good but the hotel is very far from...
