Stayed on the 16th May, waiting for the usual Premier Inn email requesting feedback which unsurprisingly, never arrived. On arrival at the PI Barking, I was greeted by a queue to check in and then sent to a dirty room which hadn't been cleaned, returned to reception be moved and given a new room and key, no apology or reason given, the reception queue had grown considerably by now and they were under pressure. Second room was clean with the usual amenities and comfy bed, although overall the hotel felt tired and dated and the room had various marks and secondary glazing removed from the casing letting in noise. Had a meal deal so booked a table for dinner, joined the queue at the restaurant entrance at the booked time then waited at least 15 minutes, with no acknowledgement, while two members of staff were trying to cope with a full restaurant, but unfortunately, also ignoring people waiting who were getting increasingly upset. I asked the bar person if I could sit in the bar and use my voucher as it was empty, but was promptly told that wasn't possible and to go in the restaurant so after another wait, this was finally accomplished. The following morning I arrived for breakfast at around 8am to an empty restaurant of customers AND most of the breakfast items normally found on the buffet. Asked for yogurts to be told they've all gone, asked for sausages to be told the workmen ate them all, even another guest commented 'I know what your thinking' whilst trying to decide what to have from the few items that were left, even the continental choice was seriously lacking with empty baskets of the usual bread and pastry items. Even trying to use the coffee machine meant joining a queue of staff getting theirs. As a business account customer and staying in PI's on a regular basis, in multiple locations, it means there's a certain level of expectation. Often there's small issues with the rooms or service which can be forgiven as the staff work hard and are generally very pleasant, but on this occasion staff were unhelpful, disinterested, lacked any customer service skills and unfortunately, this hotel is failing the rest of the group. I won't be using this hotel again, even though the location was good...

PREMIER INN GUEST RELATIONS - tuff luck case closed!🤣😂😅💷💷
Me - listen to me its not us!😡☹😟🥺😔
PREMIER INN - bye!😂🤣🤣😂💷💷
Me and my partner was accused of smoking in the room! We was fine £100! We don't smoke!! One carrying bag and bin was NOT clean or thrown away by cleaners from the customers who stayed before us. Rubbish bin and bag does not belong to us accept our takeaway food bag that we had to put all into one bag that was left behind by someone else. We had no choice because bin was NOT empty!
We are utterly shocked the way they handle this and accusing us as a innocent customers! This is not right. The amount of stress they have caused me! I've stayed at Premier Inn Hotel Barking dozen of times and respected there rules and policy BUT after being accused of something we haven't done really had shocked and upset us. The Manager communication was so poor and not respectful or NOT helpful at all. They did not bother investigating the cleaners but instead investigate me and partner which really found NO evidence against us other than a rubbish bags/ bins left behind perhaps they had something inside left by previous customers BUT NOT us!
They should look towards the cleaners who did NOT clear the rubbish bin and bags out the night before and make sure they do there job properly! I told the cleaner that I was not happy about the rubbish which was left in our room and not cleaned before our arrival.
Premier Inn barking managers has NOT dealt with this situation or even listen to what we told them. So unprofessional and I've explained over and over again what ever evidence you have its NOT us!!
Please avoid this hotel and watch out they are after your money.
I've lost my total respect for...
Read moreHave stayed at many Premier Inns and this is definitely then worst, I truly believe it is due to a lack of staff. On my 2nd night I chose to have a few drinks then take my food back to my room, the bar had no draught at all ( same as night before ) but managed to get this sorted by early evening A kind lady took my food order at the bar and when ordering a pizza was told " sorry we have no cheese " , I changed my main course to Big Stack burger , with a garlic and cheese pizzette to start , after around 20 mins was informed couldn't do pizzette as no cheese so I requested just plain garlic. After well over an hour the food arrived and I headed to my room, this is when the disappointment started, the burgers were well undercooked and extremely pink , the pizzette was not just garlic but also pesto and cherry tomatoes. I retreated downstairs and sent back the main course but as so hungry decided to keep the pizzette. After around 30 mins I left hotel to retrieve something from the car and upon returning realised that I had left my key in the room , then I had to wait well over 10 mins for someone to come to reception and despite pressing buzzer , it seemed no-one had taken the pager with them , I then had to walk into restaurant to get someone to assist , after receiving new key I decided to partake in a couple of chocolate bars from the vending machine from reception or should I call it a microwave as I have never had chocolate so melted in my life, hence not a fantastic 2nd night experience and my company probably spends hundreds of thousands of pounds with this chain, maybe a different hotelier...
