Together with a friend, I've stayed in this hotel for the past 9 days. But the experience was not that great at all considered the amount of money you have to pay. The room was very small, and maybe that's why the beds are so short. The bathroom wasn't actually a room because it's all so small. The toilet seat was only mounted with one screw left so that when you sat on it it was all wobbly. The shower did not really listen if you tried to adjust the temperature because when you finally got the right temp it soon became very cold or very hot and then cold and then hot again. There is free wifi in the hotel but that signal only reaches about one meter from its router, very slow, pretty annoying. Posting photos on Facebook for example is no option. Then there is the hygiene. The room was pretty clean when we got there, no complaints about that but we had to ask frequently for new clean towels or toilet rolls because those were not changed a single time in those 9 days unless we repeatedly asked for it (about three times). If you are considering that paid "continental breakfast" option; don't. The good thing is is that there is a kitchen you can use yourself and you can get free tea and such but the breakfast was nothing more than a box of cornflakes and some other cereal, cups of butter, 1 type of marmelade and a bag of bread. I, as a tourist, at least expected some sort of typical English breakfast with bacon, eggs etc.
I must say that the staff was pretty friendly. They didn't say of do much but we were greeted. I did find it a bit strange though that when we wanted to check out, the man who came to us just said "you can leave the keys here". That was it.. no "thank you for your stay here" or something like that.
For the overall experience and the amount of money you have to pay I would not recommend this hotel. Such a shame really..
Notes:
To the town and underground it's about a ten minute walk. There are really nice places to eat in Leytonstone, such as La Bella Vita or The Walnut Tree. There's a big Tesco store where you can get...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE! CON PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY When we first arrived we were shown our room and asked at the door how it was we told them it looked okay, we had not even been in the room yet to check. When going into the room there were large cracks on the walls, the bed smelt like cigarettes, there were burn marks and stains on a shelve above the bed and the cushions had marks on them from dirt, the quilt had marks on it and smelt dirty. As someone who does not like confrontation I did not want to say to much as I was only there for the night doing an experience tour. I could not stay there due to the conditions so had to book a travel lodge an hour away. When making a complaint and emailing the manager I was told that I will not recieve a refund because it would have been hard for me to find a room like that in London on a Saturday and that they could have given me a deluxe room which I would not have wanted due to the conditions the other room was in and because I should have complained to the staff at the time, but being on a tight schedule and not knowing my way around London I did not have time to do this. I am now £60 down and being refused a refund. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, definitely has the rating it has because of how it is. Probably the worst hotel in London. Book elsewhere as they just want your money and do not care about the standards of the hotel. Will never...

Really disappointed. Description mentions 24 hour concierge service however the desk was unmanned. It felt very unsafe. The room and en-suite itself was clean but very very basic. Towels were threadbare and there was no sign of a hair dryer.
There was a constant smell of marijuana.
The communal area had clothes strewn on the chair and the kitchen needs freshening up.
It would have been nice to have at least water in the rooms when i went in search of staff to request this no one was available. It would appear that the mode of communication was a bell if you wanted staff, this needs to be looked into as no one ever came out when you rang it.
There is limited parking on site but would not advise using this as you run the risk of being blocked in by other cars and again when we looked for a member of staff no one was around so ended up moving the bins to give us half a chance of getting out.
There is no booking in and oiut system so when we checked out at 12 we just left the keys on the reception desk along with the others 😩 I wouldn’t stay there again. I hope with the renovations going on things will...
