On a recent two-week trip, we stayed at two Premier Inn's. One was a 5 star, however this one was a 3 star. Still, a solid, budget option for a night or two. Read on for the PROs and CONs: Pros: ~Friendly staff ~Complimentary parking (Don't forget to register your car). ~Electric tea kettle in the room ~Liquid soap, shower gel and shampoo pump bottles provided in the bathroom. (No lotion). ~Decent buffet breakfast available for an extra fee. Breakfast staff were very friendly. ~Conveniently located near Morrison's, M&S, McDonald's. ~Flexible check-in time. We had originally booked a B&B, but their check-in time wasn't convenient for our plans, so we switched to the Premier Inn and arrived around 9:30pm. ~Generally comfortable, quiet room. Cons: ~Slightly older property, showing it's age around the edges. ~The main thing that made me reduce to 3 stars was when I pulled back the bedding, there was an eyelash, hair and other bits in the bed. It was late, so I chose to brush it aside and ignore it, but that was off-putting, leading me to wonder if the sheets had been changed. ~Hair in the bath and a stain down the side of the bath. ~No USB ports next to the bed. (There was a plug on one side of the bed at least). ~No iron. ~No lotion provided

My partner and I travelled from around 4 hours away. My partner booked the room and I then made a call a few days before we were due to stay and I asked if they provided any services for birthdays, (As it was my partners) and as we had traveled a fair way, I wasn't going to be able to get in to the room before my partner to arrange anything for him. Anyway, the staff member said that unfortunately it wasn't something they offered but she would see what she could do. When we arrived, the lady that I had spoken to on the phone was on the front desk. She was very welcoming and once we checked in, she had remembered speaking with me and gave me a little smile and a wink. When we got in to the room we had discovered that she had organised a happy birthday balloon, a card, chocolate biscuits and a small bottle of drink. It was so lovely to be able to suprise my partner. Unfortunately I did not catch the lady's name, but it's things like this that can really make a trip! I am very grateful to her and I will absolutely stay again if I'm in Malvern. The room was nice. Spacious, clean and cosy. Great price too. 5 stars all round

The rooms are clean, quiet and well maintained and have the current standard Premier Inn room fit. Plenty of power sockets around the desk area, although the WiFi was slightly spotty. The room windows could not be opened, but the rooms did have air conditioning. The Thyme restaurant has limited seating, so booking is necessary if the hotel is busy. At breakfast, there was the normal selection but only a single domestic toaster in constant use. Certain seats near the kitchen area suffered from flickering of the lights overhead. A lot of onsite parking. The signage to the hotel could be improved as it was not immediately obvious. The sign to the hotel is under a more prominent sign for the Malvern Spa and the Premier Inn itself is behind the Malvern Spa.

The worst bits..||The room was dirty and unkept. Short hairs on bed sheet under duvet when lifted to get into bed. White gunk/markings on curtains. Yellow and smelly stains or urine on back of toilet. Skirting board had food or drink spilled on which would've probably wiped off if they had taken the time. The table legs were broken and was not safe to be used. ||||Other bits that I would not normally make a comment on but while writing I will on this occasion..||||So much noise throughout the night. I suspect it was other customers but it sounded like they were moving furniture and banging. I appreciate this is something I could've come and told you of in the night so you could try remedy but I choose not to do I accept that was out of your control. ||||I did however phone the front desk a few hours after leaving the hotel. I had hoped to explain this to staff in person but no one was at front desk when we came down to put our door cards in the box and had to rush to take our friend to a hospital appointment so we could not wait around. I'm sure if I had waited a few minutes someone would have been there. ||||To top off a night of very broken sleep and discomfort in knowing that this room was not cleaned properly so we were concerned the bedding had not been changed ect, when I had phoned to explain this all I was met with what I felt to be a defensive and obnoxious man who seemed more concerned that I had phoned instead of waiting for a member of staff than he was about my actual concerns. I am unsure if it was me misunderstanding what he had said or not but when I told him I had come down and no one was at desk he stated something along the lines of "well I was here all morning so you didn't come down to speak to us" I don't remember the exact wording but that's how it came across.||||Needless to say this may not be our first choice next week when we come back due to the lack of care shown over our concerns. ||||We use premier inn on our travels often but this experience has left a bad taste from the room and the male on the phone.||||The positives I will say is that we appreciate the ability to get extra tea bags ect. That was wonderful as ever and we definitely appreciated the air-conditioning. That helped too.||||Two other staff members we had encountered were wonderful and helpful...

We arrived a little early (wanted to use the toilet after a 2.5hr journey) so thought we would ask if the rooms were ready but didnt expect them to be, we did have 3 booked in total, the person we spoke to was rude, no customer service with her response, we own a business in hospitality and understood completely check in time, is check in time, no problem but there is a way to say it! We returned about 5 hours later as we were there to visit family for Christmas present exchange, the staff were friendly then, gave us the keys explained where the rooms where, we booked a table for breakfast at a time slot we wanted which is a bonus, i did like that check out was 12noon also but we did leave by 10am to journey home, our double room was spacious, spotless, decent size tv, drink making facilities were great but we didnt use them, hubby had a shower said it was hot and powerful and the towels were nice also, hair dryer in the room (we didnt use) extra pillows (we did use these which was great) menu in the room which was handy to have, popped downstairs to the bar area its small but well stocked, bed was comfy and decent size, room was nice a warm, went to breakfast in the morning lady struggled to find out booking but got there in the end, breakfast choice is continental or full cooked we booked 4 full cooked, so much to choose from, cereal, fruit and yoghurts, fry up, pastries, toast or bread, coffee machine/tea, lots of juices, staff were on top of refilling and the food area was spotless, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly, we popped back to our room packed up, stripped the bed, popped things back in the places were found them in and tied up the bin bag, handed our key back in and were wished a merry Christmas it was a great experience and we will return next Christmas no doubt to see our family 💜 thanks for a lovely evening we...

The Premier Inn at Malvern is a great place to stay. I stayed there for a few nights starting the 15th September, and on my arrival I was checked-in and I noted that the dining area was quite occupied, so obviously a good place to eat. My bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean with no lingering odours. The shower was really powerful and a great temperature too. At breakfast time which starts at 6h30, there was always someone with a smile to take my room number, and then show me where I could take the coffee, tea or continental breakfast. The dining area was also exceptionally clean and in the corner where the kitchen is situated, that also was super clean. The chef for the breakfast produced a splendid array of hot cooked food for a breakfast fit for a king (or queen). Bacon, sausage, beans, black pudding, hash browns and the choice of eggs, were really all cooked to perfection with nothing under or over cooked, greasy, oily or fatty. So, to go for a second visit at the cooked breakfast bar was an easy choice, as breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Whenever somebody checked out in the morning the team always gave a few moments to them and to wish them well on their journey. My thanks once again to the team at Premier Inn Malvern for making my stay comfortable and relaxed. I hope to see you again...
