WARNING. THIEVES TARGETING CAR PARK. My husband stayed at Premier Inn in Rochdale on Friday 23rd of August due to needing to finish a job in Oldham by Monday. He parked his van, locked it and presumed it would be safe overnight. However, upon returning to his van the next morning he noticed that someone had broken into it by cutting open the roof and stole around £5000 worth of tools! When he called the police and CSI came out he was told that this particular car park has been the target of this kind of theft for the last two weeks and only last week another trades person had £9000 worth of tools stolen. When he spoke to the person on reception on the morning of the 24th of August they simply said that the night staff are “busy”. This is simply not good enough. First of all, if this has been happening for the last two weeks why hasn’t security been increased on the car park? Why aren’t guests being made aware of this so they can ensure they secure expensive tools properly. Secondly, even the CSI officer pointed out that when the thieves were cutting the roof there would have been sparks etc. my husband’s van was clearly visible on the CCTV as he saw it himself. What were the night staff doing so to not notice someone / a number of people spending 10+ minutes cutting the roof of a van with whatever tool they used and then taking all his tools out one by one? Why at no point in those 10+ minutes has the night porter not looked at the CCTV? We have questioned whether the night porter could possibly be working with the thieves as if this has been happening for the last two weeks and seemingly keep coming back and getting away with it. Is that because they know no one will report anything seen on the CCTV to the police because they’re in on it? I’m sorry, but I do not believe that the night porter is that busy at gone 11 o’clock at night that they can’t be regularly be checking the CCTV, especially given the car park is seemingly being targeted! So, if you’re staying here do not leave anything of any value in...
Read moreVery disappointed was not worth 160 pounds. Upon arrival we were greeted with pride flags inside the reception area, now we are not judging anyone's life choices but places like this should remain impartial so nobody is offended and just allow people to pay for a service without having other people's views and beliefs pushed In your face, it really isn't necessary. Secondly, the hotel reception smelt very strongly or urine and this was all the way up the stairs to the room, we had to wait a long time for anyone to attend reception and book us in. The room was a double, very small, very warm, only had a small opening for the window and a small fan. There was cobwebs hanging down from the ceiling so not the cleanest of rooms. Breakfast is advertised as unlimited, we were expecting self service as previously experienced but for the cooked option we did have to order and waited 25 minutes for it to arrive. Due to this, my partner had to order a second breakfast as soon as the first came. After waiting another 20 minutes he was sick of waiting so we left. If we were to go again we would skip the breakfast and go to a Toby which there are plenty of in the area and serves unlimited breakfast and is self service so you wouldn't need to wait. however, the likelihood of us returning is extremely slim. The service in the restaurant for breakfast was extremely slow, some of the food was cold and really not worth the price. We feel that there are much nicer places in the area to visit but as we have had good experiences with Premier Inns in the past we chose it again. I don't think a Premier Inn would be our first choice of hotel going forward as it is no longer...

When booking especially when it says last few rooms on the app or website you are more than likely to be palmed off a disabled room. Bed height as high as your ankles!. when booking, I booked a double room.
I made the school, boy error of not checking my email confirmation which said Accessible double, Lower bath No mention of a disabled room.
Maybe Premier Inn can explain??.
Reception advised due to it being a late booking you get selected a disabled room!!!!!! We did not stay the night due to the room feeling like a hospital.
We were given a guest relations card to contact the next day.
Guest relations contacted, usually very polite & understanding about mishaps.
On this occasion very abrupt and said they cant help!.
