I have stayed with Premier Inn for many years, always choosing them over other hotels, but I won't give them another penny. Booked a 3 night trip for a family funeral but my flight from France was cancelled and I had to amend my booking. This was not possible for me to do online for some reason and finding a phone number to the hotel was impossible. I phoned a premium rate number in the morning of my due arrival to be put through to my chosen hotel. I asked to stay thurs, Fri,sat instead of Tues, wed, Thurs but was told they were fully booked. So I arrived on the Thursday to be told now the booking had started they couldn't do anything. Patronising Reception staff, palming off the complaint to someone at the end of a phone, who was still unwilling to help. Apparently I should've read section 10 in my terms and conditions, as the option of transferring my booking was not offered to me when I phoned. I lost the best part of 200 quid on this booking, when I could've just cancelled the whole thing and re booked for the one night if this had been told to me. They were apologetic because that's all anyone is these days. The times of customer satisfaction and the need for renewed business are long gone. I was offered a free breakfast worth 19 quid to compensate me for losing 2 nights stay. I told them to keep it. Will never stay with them again and won't recomend. A really disappointing outcome e on a very stressful and...
Read moreWow, what a dump! That was my first impression. We were booked in first week of May, 2024. My issue was that the Wi-Fi didn't work. We noticed within 10 minutes of paying for 2 nights at 152 GBP. We decided that we couldn't stay (the girl at the desk couldn't get it working, but said she had it at the front desk, so she didn't know when we checked in, that it wasn't working?) When would it be up and running? Shrug of shoulders. We decided, even though it was a hassle, that we needed it too much to stay, so within 15 minutes of entry we said we were leaving, could we get our money back. No. We left anyway. She decided she could, after all, refund the second night, which a month later, has not come through my VISA, (although every other charge has come through on my trip). I have phoned and complained and asked for a refund, and was told that no Wi-Fi is not a reason to refund (we wouldn't have booked if they had no Wi-Fi). There are laws in my country for not refunding someone for a service that you do not provide. We won't be staying at anymore Premier Inns, and really, there was a much nicer hotel for the same price in Nottingham center. Re-think these "cheap" hotels. You get what...
Read moreHotel appeared to have been recently refurbished, hotel was great, comfy bed, Matt at reception was a legend shame he's going to be a lawyer, he seemed so human and caring. Company policy to make staff call me 'sir' really stupid, without staff there is no holiday so I should call staff 'sir' not the other way round. Matt could not do enough, clean towels, any extras. Hotel ideal for trent bridge cricket. BUT food a huge let down. Sandwich - 2 slices of bread and 60% pickle, no rolls, baguettes, disappointed, breakfast seemed short staffed. Staff seemed to think porridge constituted a cooked breakfast and then seemed a little stand-offish with us for the rest of breakfast. Veggie sausages cold, I've worked in restaurants and I NEVER send food back cos I know what happens. All pastries in open baskets, no lids???? Why??? Has Britain eradicated flies? Saw a fly flying round the restaurant and looked at uncovered bread and pastries and thought 'no thanks' wife delighted that I could look but not touch and definitely not eat, story of my life really. So comfy hotel...
