I had an absolutely wonderful experience during my stay at Ceum Thairis on the Isle of Skye. Mr. Mark, our host, welcomed us warmly and even shared his private kitchen, making us feel right at home. The accommodations were spotlessly clean, including the bathrooms, and the location by the lakeside was simply picturesque. We were delighted to discover that the Talisker distillery and Fairy Pools were within easy reach.This stay, in my UK trip that covered various destinations, truly stood out as one of the best. What added to the charm was the presence of free single malt whiskey bottles in the garden, a delightful surprise. Mr. Mark also offered some fun badges as a bonus. Read moreWe were on a tight schedule in September with hotels booked in a domino fashion......a storm prevented our ferry from leaving the Orkney Islands and getting back to mainland Scotland and onto Skye. We were in a bit of a panic due to the hotels booked.
