Where do I start came here for 4 nights 1st room I was given was like a prison cell, damp, mould and had musty smell. Also interconnecting room didn't ask for this reception did move me to a slightly better room this room had issues continuous fan like noise was told its from the laundry room, shower leaking, bed sounded like it was going to break every movement, breathing getting on the bed the normal things the bed creaked and clearly wasn't as stated king-size comfortable for a perfect night sleep i would strongly disagree uncomfortable and definitely not king-size, the side lamp was loose and if you put it on it would turn from upright to about 2oclock, the reception had this looked at shower was fixed, the lamp to but unfortunately the bed seemed like nothing had been done maybe the bed frame needs replacing. The room wasn't cleaned properly hair clip on dressing table, some sort of fluff/hair on floor by chair. After maintenance had been in the room was unmade bedding just thrown onto the chair and dirty foot prints in the shower. So once again I went to reception and asked if the cleaner was halfway through doing my room I was told that the cleaners don't go into the room until my was over to reduce the contact of covid which I understood. I was asked why so I showed them the room of my phone and they said did I do that 🤔 no it was like this on my return to the hotel after your maintenance team had been in so therfore the room should have been re-cleaned to reduce the contact of covid. I was told that he couldn't do anything about this as housekeeping was not there and no other rooms were available, luckily there was another receptionist who kindly offered to go a freshen up the room but was told it would be around 30-45 minutes before I could return...
Read moreMy Husband and I visited for a short break to see friends, who live close at Lostock Hall. Very polite gentleman on reception, who welcomed us and checked us in. Lovely comfy room, everything you need. It had no air conditioning and it was the hottest weekend in July, but, with the window open and the fan going, it still felt comfortable. Very very comfortable beds, in fact I had the best night sleep in a long time. Great shower, which you could use with the hand held part, or the water fall shower. Easy to use (unlike some), and getting the temperature right was a doddle. Mood lighting in the bathroom, if you have to use it at night. There was a strange smell in the room, but we think it was something the cleaners had used. Tea making facilities, kettle, no iron, but we had taken our own, but did not need it. Breakfast was great. The ladies who serve were so friendly, and everything was hot and freshly cooked (you could see the chef cooking and serving up). We will definitely return as we will plan to see our friends again. ...
Read moreI have been at this hotel for a while and it's great. The staff from the reception to the cleaners are friendly and will do anything they can to help or fulfill your requests. The room was spotless on arrival, the bed is so comfortable and the room warm. The bathroom again spotless is great, lovely hot shower and all the towels you need. The thing that has impressed me most is the staff, they are a credit to the company. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they will sort it for you. I ate at the Poacher fayre and square over the road and it has friendly staff and the food is lovely. Especially the roast beef or half a chicken dinner, it's gorgeous and the gravy is top notch. I would have no qualms in recommending them to family, friends or anyone reading this review. If you have to stay in this area, then I'd advise you to book here. It's cheap too, which is just a cherry on top. Great hotel, great staff from reception to cleaners, great rooms, great bed, great food. What more can I...
