Unfortunately there has been no change to the horrendous poor service provided since I stopped visiting this “fast food” establishment several years ago when I lived nearby, this was due to the average time waiting to be served and get your food and occasionally someone else’s food!. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt last Saturday as I was passing and expected their service to have improved in the passing years, how misguided I was! I waited around twenty minutes to get to the counter to make my order so knew that things had not changed at all in this regard, it was not as if the place was rammed with people it was barley a third or at a push maybe half full it appeared that they were as short staffed as ever. After eventually getting to the counter I made my order to then be told they can’t accept card payments…when I asked why they had not told the 15+ people in the cue whilst they stood patiently I was told that she did not normally work on the counter, not sure what that has got to do with basic customer service and there was nothing she could do about it, so I asked to speak to the manager, whilst waiting to do so I decided to do their job for them and let the people in the cue behind me know that they could only take cash, at which several customers left no doubt feeling as annoyed as me. The manager said she could not let customers know about this issue as she was too busy doing her job….There was me thinking that the manager and staff providing some kind of basic customer service might actually be part of their job description.. what a fool I was to think so…I did not say it at the time but not only would it have been good customer service to inform customers on entry either verbally or a sign that could be used when required (I have seen further comments to suggest this maybe an on going issue for them so signage could be used as and when required or is it that for some reason they are not allowed to use card machines in there at all) but it would actually reduce the size of the cues and waiting time for everyone and less pressure on themselves, but what do we the poor mistreated idiotic customers know, not for the first time I left still hungry wondering how this level of service can be acceptable to Burger King, I sent a complaint to Burger King and received the usual corporate jargon including them distancing themselves from this particular establishment by saying they are individually owned etc, complete rubbish, they trade under and I imagine have to abide by some sort of basic customer service guidelines as part of any franchise agreement? Will never ever use a...
Read moreThis is, undeniably, the worst Burger King that I have ever had the misfortune to enter. To give this Burger King one star is a gross overstatement of the standard provided – uniquely, amongst all the places I have been, this place well and truly deserves a zero having failed totally at it’s core purpose.
This is a fast-food restaurant – by its very nature, you should be able to come in, order, and be eating, relatively quickly. I would have said 10 minutes is probably fair for a place like this one in terms of maximum wait. Certainly on a Thursday lunchtime…
This Burger King, on the other hand, managed to barely serve a single customer in the restaurant in well over 20 minutes. People entered, they ordered (to eat in, to take away, it made no difference) and there they stood, waiting and waiting.
The restaurant staff, seemingly surprised at the presence of customers, moved glacially, apparently focused solely upon the drive-thru customers and the delivery drivers. Even then, for some reason, the lack of coordination and pace behind the counter was, quite frankly, an embarrassment. A single drive-thru order apparently taking five minutes to bag, let alone cook.
The customers in the restaurant were patient, more so than was deserved I feel, before complaining. However, rather than recognise they had a more general problem, the staff behind the counter just put the complainant’s food in a bag hurry them away then carried on ignoring the rest. I was surprised there wasn’t more shouting….
I eventually gave up waiting after 30 minutes and left. This Burger King therefore owes me £8.79. I think I’m going to write that off and consider it a price well-paid for this lesson though – never eat at the Bamber Bridge Burger King. Avoid, at all costs.
If anyone from Burger King Corporate happens to read this – maybe consider taking this one’s franchise away. It isn’t doing your brand any...
Read moreVisited tonight following a visit to B&Q at Bamber Bridge, very few people dining/ordering, and no one at the drive through, took an age to be served, food at best average (trying to be kind) looked at 3 tables before sitting at the 4th, the first 3 had either food on the table or chairs, and had clearly not been wiped. Having eaten I felt grubby and decided to use the toilets, big mistake, they were worse than the restaurant, not usually one to speak up for fear of offending, I felt I had to, not wanting to embarrass anyone, or air my views in front of other paying customers, I tapped on the staff only door, I spoke to a young man and raised my concerns, he asked if I'd like to speak to the manager, a young girl appeared, berley out of school and asked if she could help, I pointed out the filthy floors and wall, then asked her to accompany me into the toilets to look at my concerns, there are 2 urinals, 1 working and 1 not, a paper bag with "out of order /" written on placed within the bowl. There was 1 toilet with a broken seat, unflushed, no toilet roll, and a filthy wet floor, the girl made her apologies and stated the broken seat and urinal, had been reported, the floor did need cleaning, and a caution cone was put in place, again she apologised, I left telling her I just wanted to inform her before reporting it when asked to place a review, and stating it was appalling for an eating establishment to be so filthy and unhygienic, reading previous reviews, I'm obviously not the only customer to raise concerns, we certainly won't be eating...
