Rosebarne — Hotel in West Suffolk

It's nice to be able to leave a very positive review for a place. We booked here at fairly short notice and weren't sure what it would be like.||The good:||* Very helpful with booking.||* Very helpful when we had to change our arrival time on the day of our arrival.||* Immaculate, large room that was presumably recently re-decorated or if not has been kept in 'as new' condition.||* Friendly reception by the owner who explained everything we needed to know.||* Generous breakfast of continental and cooked English. Unlimited fruit juice (always something I love because I don't drink tea or coffee so like a lot of orange juice in the morning).||* Carefully selected ingredients to make it a special meal - definitely not a 'budget' breakfast!||* Larger than usual TV in the room (bigger than most hotels!).||* Internet router in the room.||||Things that you need to be aware of:||* When arriving (especially in the dark) it's hard to find the drive - the name board is not easily visible. We missed it and found a numbered house further down the road and had to count back.||* The drive is shared with a neighbour and working out where one should park is tricky at night.||* The approach is not well lit so, again at night, it's disconcerting that it's not clear where the entrance is - we didn't want to knock on the wrong house door!||* Payment is cash or bank transfer only - not a problem for us but might be for you.||||Once you're in, it's...

I already know that these are good people. This is a really lovely place, warmest welcome, congenial hosts. Spotless bedroom and bathroom. Ample free safe lit parking, free WiFi, great TV Freeview good quality new tv with CLEAN remote. Comfy beds with lovely pillows. Cutest small dog in reception area. Have been staying in a property for 250 per night and I'd far rather stay here at under 70 per night hands down. Stayed hear the night before my flight , lovely couple that run this place ,made me feel very welcome when I arrived , had a lovely cup of tea and a chat before being shown my room , which had everything I needed , TV , tea,and coffee , comfy bed , nice and clean , it's like home from home, nothing was to much trouble for them except me probably lol , I had to ask for assistance , as been on my own ,I couldn't open the window ,get the TV on, they helped me get my flights passes and even put my eye drops in for me.
