Wow what can I say we. Was going to get a takeaway but decided have a meal in. The food was delicious and excellsnt portions the staff helpful friendly nothing too much trouble. The outside not much too look at but inside lovely and clean you must try. I always check loos in a restaurant cant fault! I always been a big Indian meal person and this is one of the best I tried trust me! This Indian deserves true recognition and we will certainly be back. The gentlemen that served us also happy for photos be taken. Thank-you guys ! My left over I took I eat cold for breakfast yum yum πŸ˜‹ We would still return but we went Saturday 16th August for a friends birthday. Thd food as always superb BUT we was served by the young lad with poppadoms then it Went down. Hill. The service was soooo slow we waited ages to ask for bill top up of drinks .busy takeaways but dont 4get people in restsurant! Very disapointing as wd raved the placd to our friends! Apologise for spilling wine and making mess on table cloth..( took ages to get a replacement) we also felt the waiter was flustered and was not very accommodating! Sorry but the food as expressed superb!

Nice welcome, once sat we were asked about drinks we got them ordered. Then a member of staff came over wanting to know how many poppadoms the communication wasn't so good he either couldn't fully understand us or we couldnt understand him. The food came out in dribs and drabs so some had all their orders others in the party had to wait and not everyone's food was hot to the touch. The food appeared all freshly cooked, I'm sure they worked hard in the kitchen, maybe more staff to get the food out quicker may of helped. The staff tried to rectify it where they could. It became very loud inside felt like we were all shouting. It may of been the building with a very high ceiling. It became chilly at times too. Will try it out again as it's newly opened at the beginning of September.

Sunday evening, and we searched for dinner. We found the rose palace indian restaurant. The waiter welcomed us and bought us to our table. He asked politely. The meal was great! Spicy and freshly made. It was one of the best indian meals we ever had! We will be back surely. πŸ˜‹πŸ‘πŸ»

Barely got our bums on the chairs before we were being asked if we were ready to order. The dining area is very large and open causing it to be quite noisy and very much felt like a school canteen rather than a restaurant. You can get doft drinks in the restaurant but if you want alcohol you have to go through to the bar and bring them back yourself. There's definitely a communication barrier and quite a few things needed to be repeated or clarified, even then some things were still wrong. Once our order was placed we were asked if we wanted our starter to come out first or to come out with our main dishes? My companions assured me their starters were lovely they had the mixed starter. I had the onion Bhaji and unfortunately it was less than impressive, very soggy and soft. Mains were Chicken Pasanda, Chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken with rices, naan and salad all of which were absolutely delicious. The Pasanda and the Tikka masala were quite sweet but really lovely. Small choice of dessert. When i picked what I wanted the waitress looked at me and said "you have to pick something different" when i asked why i had to pick something different she said "we don't have that one" I feel when a restaurant doesn't have something that's on the menu it's something you should be made aware of when you are given the menu not after you've chosen the item they've run out of. But i would put this down to the previously mentioned communication barrier. They seemed to need constant reassurance that the food was good. Would i give it another try? Yes but as a takeaway...

The food here is fantastic, you can really taste the high quality and freshness of the ingredients. This makes Rose Palace stand out head and shoulders above the other 'Indian' restaurants in Haverhill and surrounding areas, with the exception of the one in Clare which also has outstanding quality, but in a different style. Rose seems to concentrate on a relatively small menu, offering all the standard meals you see on any Indian menu, but as mentioned earlier, they do it so well it tastes incredible. The decor could do with a little work - it is a nice enough place, tastefully decorated, however I find the lighting a bit harsh on my eyes, I prefer a more subdued / lower light restaurant to make it feel more intimate - it's also a little cold in there, but that's to be expected due to the time of year. Unusually, it is attached to a traditional English pub with a well kept bar and friendly locals, so you have a huge choice of drinks available and the chance to have a quick half if you are collecting a takeaway. No complaints of the speed of food to table, or when ordering a takeaway. Portions were HUGE! If you are a meat eater, you have no worries about the quality of the lamb, it was obviously slowly cooked to perfection, not chewy or gristle. The king prawns are also massive and cooked on a skewer. I haven't tried the chicken yet. The paneer dish we had was very tasty.

Overall, very, very happy we have a new quality...
