We sat at the outdoor tables on Friday evening feb 2023, there were 5 of us plus a dog. The pub inside was very busy but there was no one sitting at the tables outside. We had our friendly collie with us and sat outside as we understood that dogs are not allowed indoors. My husband went up to the bar and spoke to the manager as service was refused. He told my husband that wetherspoons do not accept dogs indoors or out. While we understand it is good to stick to policy, we found this excessive with regards to the outdoor area. There were several tables, all empty, so our dog could not possibly have interferec with any customers. We will not be back. We went to Nine Jars, a bar just down the road and found it was dog friendly both indoors and outdoors. The customer service and quality of the drinks there was outstanding. We will definitely return to Nine jars but will avoid...
Read morePopped in Xmas for breakfast for 5 adults and 2 kids.. Initially struggled to find a free table but once seated, we soon got settled and ordered up. Service was fast, friendly and polite. £34 for all of us including unlimited hot drinks and food for everyone. Complete bargain 👍 Food arrived after about 20mins of ordering, was piping hot and everything was correct, no issues or complaints. Food was cooked lovely, tender and piping hot. Not too greasy and there was plenty on the plate. The coffee machine is a lovely idea giving plenty of selection however it's quite a timely process and as there are only 2 machines a queue is often more than likely so be prepared to wait. Overall tho from start to finish we were made to feel welcome and the standard of food and service was above average which was excellent especially on such...
Read moreI live in Scotland but I grew up in Haverhill, I come back down every so often to see friends and family and since I work for Wetherspoon I often go into a Wetherspoons wherever I am (discount lol). I come in here a few times for every time I’m down and every time I have been in the pub has been so dirty. There’s always dirty glasses on every table, the floor is a mess, tables dirty etc. Service is mediocre, most of the staff do not look happy/approachable (I understand it can be a very draining job, I am a manager so 100% understand but customer service is key to this job) The wait on food and drinks (iorder) can be long sometimes, always seem to have only 1 or 2 people on the floor. Every-time I’ve had food it’s been good, have definitely had worse! Overall it’s an okay pub, it’s nowhere near as good as other ones...
