Starburger — Restaurant in West Suffolk

This is our families favourite cafe to eat at when in Haverhill. We've been coming here for a little while now. I'm never one to stay on top of doing reviews but I thought it was deserving after having to eat somewhere else because Starburger were very busy today, and ending up not being totally satisfied with the place we ended up. We popped out to have a family lunch, but the cafe was very busy upon arrival and couldn't accommodate us for a little while, which is fine. I expected it to be some what busy on a Saturday. We usually come during the week when it's less busy. We'd already waited for about 15 minutes and it was quite chilly outside so didn't want to wait around much longer. We found another local cafe near by that was much more empty. We weren't too happy with it as an overall, and made us realise just how much we really enjoy Starburger!! Portion sizes are much more manageable. I'm not sure if restaurants think by serving you a mountain plate of food will encourage you to come back... It doesn't for me. The Star Grill team made our first time ordering an amazing and exceptional experience! It was my boyfriends birthday, and considering we couldn’t go out to dine due to Covid I messaged Star Grill in advance, and asked if they could possibly do a birthday amenity. They went above and beyond and got a birthday cupcake and a happy birthday balloon for a small fee of £6. We ordered on the night, and the delivery time was so quick! Ali delivered our food along with the balloon and cupcake, and wished my partner a happy birthday. This is Hospitality at its finest! The food was beyond amazing, and so delicious! Popped in for a bite to eat and drink whilst killing time between appointments.

Unsurprisingly I opted for the full English and a large chocolate milkshake (I’ve basically given up on any aspirations of losing weight at this point).

Again, the prices were pretty decent. The food arrived within 10 minutes and everything looked freshly and well cooked. I forgot to take a pic on the menu on this occasion but if memory serves the breakfast was around £10.50 and the milkshake £3.50.

Food was great, milkshake was awesome especially given the warm weather and the service cannot be faulted.

I visited here many times with my kids when I lived in Haverhill for 20 years, but this was the first time I’ve visited in around 5 years. It’s nice to know that some things don’t change.
