Despicable. Went in with working phone with a cracked screen and left with it more broken than when I walked in.
I went in because the screen on my Galaxy S23 Ultra was cracked. They quoted me $350 and said once I paid, they would order the screen and it would take 1.5 hours to replace. I thought the price was steep, but decided I would go ahead and get the screen replaced since I still owed money on the phone. Little did I know, I was making a terrible, terrible mistake.
I bring the phone in the next day and am told to come back in 1-1.5 hours. I leave, come back and I'm told the screen was replaced, but the phone just keeps rebooting. They say they need to troubleshoot it, but assured me they would have it done later that evening. I call them right before they close to be told that they still can't figure it out and they need to order a new screen and hold onto my phone for the night.
The next day (Friday) I call and they tell me that the technician doesn't even come in until 3, so I wait and call back then. I'm told the screen is replaced, but now the phone won't connect to cell service. They also say that need my phone password to test things out, which I reluctantly give, but which made me extremely uncomfortable. I go to the store and find that my phone now has a working screen, but will not read the SIM card and therefore has no cell service. I'm told that if I go to AT&T, they can load an e-sim into it, but if that doesn't work they can get a new part for my phone on Monday that should fix it. I go to AT&T and after spending 45 mins with them, they tell me my phone no longer seems to have an IMEI number and is coming up in their system as an iPhone XR instead of an S23. They try correcting it with no success and I'm told that I could try going to Geek Squad and they might be able to reset it. I went to geek squad and was told there's nothing they can do. I reluctantly went back to Jersey Quik Fix again and was told to hold onto the phone for the weekend and bring it back Monday for the sim reader replacement.
I keep the phone for the weekend, now with a new screen, and am able to use it on WiFi, but without cell service. The screen looked and worked fine, however I noticed a couple things. In addition to the SIM card not working, the S Pen was no longer being detected and I couldn't get it to sync with the phone. On top of that, I noticed that the battery life had gotten tremendously worse. It used to last well over a day with heavy use. It now only lasted maybe 4-6 hours before requiring a charge, even with the screen off and the phone just sitting there.
Monday comes and I'm pretty pissed off, but hopeful I'm going to have a working phone again after 4 days. I call at 3 and am told the part will be in at 4:30 and the work will take about 1.5 hours. I go in again (30 min drive each time) and wait around for an hour and a half and go back in the store. I'm told the sim card reader is replaced, but the phone is doing the same thing. They tell me they can hold onto the phone for an additional 2-3 days to see if they can figure it out, I can just take it as is (and still pay for the screen!) and see if it'll have a better trade-in value that way, or they can put the old screen back on and give me a refund. I told them just to put the old screen back on and give me a refund. I then had to leave the phone overnight once again for the old screen to be put back on.
On day 5 of my 1.5 hour repair and I picked up my phone more broken than when I started and there was additional damage/scratches that weren't there before. They promised a refund in 1-2 days and after 2 days, I opened a dispute with my credit card.
I will never go back here again and I hope you don't waste your time and money at this "business". Truly shameful communication, practices and customer service. Worst "store" experience I've had in my entire life, bar none. I can't stress enough how unpleasant this experience was or how strongly I recommend that you steer clear...
Read moreI bought an iPhone X for $180 from them with “T-Mobile” turns out it wasn’t a T-Mobile carried phone, they ended up giving me an I phone 12 pro max for $400, I had it for 8 days and when I can to return it on the 8th day because I couldn’t figure out how to download my stuff on I could because the guy rushed me out of the store as they were about to close while also the battery is completely shot when I charge my phone completely it’s dead within an hour. When I came to return the phone, they said that they need to take off a certain amount of money of refund for a “restock fee”, they kept $60 and gave me $340 back. These people are not at all nice and obviously scam the crap out of people in hopes they don’t come back. He then proceeded to ask me if I had a phone for more than a week and I return it not to expect to pay some money for it. (It was returned in great condition and BARLEY used).
MAJOR UPDATE: First: I was in fact not drunk, I don’t drink lol so that’s nice to have said. I came in with an iPhone 14 that you guys claimed to be $300 to fix (which I am in college and paying my way so I couldn’t really spend that to fix my phone at the time but understood ). But then told me that I can buy an iPhone XR for just $200 instead so I did that because that was the cheapest option for me at the time being a college student. So not only are you just scamming normal people but now you’re scamming young students? Second: Nobody stayed over an hour for me. I actually showed up and your store was closed so I came back the next morning. Third: The phone was returned because you guys could not take the time to download my data which took 10 minutes at the T-Mobile store Because you guys were too busy dealing with another unsatisfied customer who you were also rushing out to close. AND when the phone was charged it died within an hour…. ANYONE would’ve returned it. Why would I buy another phone after buying TWO broken phones from you guys???? Why don’t we post the video tapes online scammers have cameras too right??? Me with my iPhone 14 before it broke and they tried to charge be $300 to fix BEFORE they gave me a BROKEN iPhone XR and claimed it was with T-Mobile BUT IT WASNT WITH T-MOBILE (should we call T-Mobile to see if they remember the incident? EVEN THWY SAID I...
Read moreIm not sure if the reviews are fake or I just had a bad experience. I went to get the back of my iphone fixed. They fixed it but it wasn’t done correctly and I had to come back. I came back, they told me wait would be a bit longer to make sure it actually dried all the way, as long as it was fixed the right way I didn’t mind. They give you a certain amount of days for you come back for the “warranty.” Two weeks after having my phone fixed, I saw it coming apart, it wasn’t very noticeable and I have a busy life so I never got a chance to swing by. Now it’s fully falling apart, I need to go through my phone carrier to replace my whole phone. I haven’t dropped my phone since getting it fixed and it has a Zagg and otterbox case to protect it. So I know it was the bad work that was done on the iPhone. I’m really upset that I spent money so I would have to upgrade my phone and now I still have to. I would never recommend this place to anyone I know and I won’t be back. The staff was nice but they...
