Luxury Inn & Suites — Hotel in Absecon

This place is disgusting! If there was an option for zero stars I'd choose that! First off, the pictures online made this place look decent. Some reason it also had 5 stars. Second, the card reader didn't work, had to pay in cash, that was a little suspicious to me. Then after reading reviews its happened before! Should've done more research, it's my fault.The tv didn't work, we were supposed to have free wifi, that was a joke,it didn't work in the room, only if you stood outside, and our refrigerator didn't work. The guy fixed tv and changed out refrigerator. Most places have soap and extra toiletries, not this place! I wanted to leave so bad but there was a cancellation fee! Don't stay here!!! Don't be fooled by the name of this place... There is absolutely nothing luxurious about this Motel. It is located off a main roadway not too far from the Travelodge which probably would have been a thousand times better. My friend and I planned a weekend for our birthdays but trying to do it economically which this place did offer. However the bathroom door did not close properly. Toilet took several attempts to flush. The microwave had not been cleaned in ages ... we wanted to heat up leftovers but it smelled so bad we decided just go eat out. The wifi they offer was like have dial-up internet service. Worse of all it just didn't feel clean. We're slept on top bed cover... sure a blue light would've revealed alot. Between plunging my own toilet because it completely broke to having to file a fraud charge because they charged me in May for a February stay I can’t say anything good about this place. The staff seemed really nice at first but then when we got a weird charge from them several months after our stay they started acting in a way that felt shady. The person at the front desk told my husband that the card reader hadn’t been working for nearly 4 months and that’s why we weren’t charged until May. The problem with that is we were charged in February and had the receipt to prove it. They still didn’t do anything so I had to file a fraud charge with my bank.
