My boyfriend and I went on a vacation and needed a room to stay in Atlantic City, most of the hotels were booked already so I went on Google and searched for near by Hotels and I saw Royal Lodge hotel with a good rating so I decided to look at their room pics and they looked descent that’s why I decided to book a room there, even though I thought it was pricy for off-the Boardwalk hotel, I booked it because we needed a room to sleep, I booked it and they sent me my Confirmation number through Text and also to my Email, after 10 minitower or so, someon called me from the hotel but I could not understand anything over the phone, so I kept repeating myself and he told me that my card got declined but I checked my bank statement and $264.89 was taking out of my account so I don’t understand how my card got declined when I already had a confirmation number, then without my permission and I clearly told him not to run my card though again because another $264.89 was gonna be taken out of my card, he still did it without my consent, when I arrived at the front desk the guy was trying to explain to me that was it was taking out of my account twice and that it would take 3-15 business days for that money to go back to my account, I told him not to run my card again but he did not listened at all. We were already tired and needed some sleep, so the appearance of the hotel from outside was horrible, carpet smelled like wet dogs, he took us to the room and opened the door and the room wasn’t what I saw online, the room smelled like someone just smoked a whole pack of cigarettes, after the guy left, we decided to take a shower and there was no hot water, the shower knob was loose and wasn’t working properly, a part in the bathroom ceiling there was a open spot that showed some pipes, the bathtub edges had some pieces of wood painted with regular paint, toilet seat had scratches and looked unsanitary. After we checked out around 10am, we told the front desk guy that we could not take a shower because there was no hot water and he knew there was a problem with the bathroom pipes and water, he said “Yeah there is a problem with the water and the knob”, my boyfriend told him that they should’ve warned us before we took the room. My overall experience there has NO STARS, I cannot beleive this hotel still open, is dirty and don’t follow any guidelines and what they show online is not what you get in person, ratings online shows a 5.2 stars but ok their website shows 2.1 Stars, if I knew things were gonna be like that, I would honestly sleep in my car with my boyfriend, is not worth my money, I paid $264.89 and is definitely NOT worth that amount of money, I have stayed at Motels for cheaper price and they looked amazing and my experiences were nice. I have never experienced racism like I have staying here I am mixed and my mother is white we are the ones who checked in the manager was so nice but when we go to unload into our separate rooms with my boyfriend and my step father who are black the man questions my boyfriend which room he was staying in like he’s not supposed to be there and makes a face when I said he’s in my room then goes and tells my mother that he saw my step father smoking that there’s no smoking in the rooms and they call the police for that. Then he made it a point to come in my room twice to fix things that should’ve been done before I got here or small stuff that could’ve waited. I got the room with the Jacuzzi in it if that’s what you want to call it but couldn’t figure out how to turn the jets so I called the office and they came over to show me now mind you I have the hottest water running through it with a ton of bleach because I’m not getting in a dirty tub so when we opened the door because it’s cold outside steam started coming out of the room he proceeded to get upset and tell me that he knows my kind of people that I’m a bad person refused to speak to my husband would only speak to me then said if I wanted my money back that I could take it and go because he doesn’t want my kind there. When I told my mother she was furious and confronted him and cursed him out he told he we can’t have our money back be we signed a 2 night contract and she told him to stay away from me he agreed and said he wouldn’t bother us anymore. Now after all that you would hope that’s where it ends we go to the casino we come back around 2 AM and my step father who is in a wheelchair trying to get into the room ended up falling out of his wheelchair know any decent person would offer to help but as we’re trying to get him back into the wheelchair this man comes out of the room next to my mothers and is yelling at us telling us were being disrespectful so we told him what we were doing and he said he didn’t care. My wife booked through booking.com and on the site it said service dogs welcome so my wife booked for 2 day stay I believe it was 137.00$ anyway we pull up my wife gets out 30 min later she comes back and says o my God this guy is a creep he sits behind a window with it cracked like 4 in and what he was saying to my wife was unbelievable he clearly stated that he doesn’t take service dogs and they aren’t allowed to stay at his motel my dog is 8 yrs old and the most friendliest dog ever I have a disability and with out her I can’t live that’s how serious it’s is ,he told my wife to just stay for a week not 2 days let’s make a deal and on top of that he said for my husband who is me to leave my service dog somewhere and he would let us stay there and O yea when I called to cancel reservations with booking.com they asked me what happened I told them the property owner said no pets but on your site it said service animals welcome they said well we can send the property owner a email and for us to get our money back he just has to cancel our reservation so I asked him if he could do that he said No what so booking.com said i was beat and I couldn’t stay a hotel either this was the worst experience and when u try to call the hotel it’s a cell numbs that just goes to VM he clearly rips people off they book with him because u think they will take your dog ans when u get there u can’t stay there and u can’t get your refund back I got back 23.00 from booking.com out of 130 $ the worst place ever he is this wacko that walks around his parking lot staring at his cameras he has set up he doesn’t take calls and he works behind a window u waited to see if I could talk to him and he told me no money back be aware there were people drinking and smoking meth in the parking lot i was only gonna stay there because of my dog and the cheap rate don’t stay there .thats what I received back it’s a scam u book online pay when u get there u don’t get your money back because he won’t cancel the reservation so u can get...
