This was our first time staying at Country Willows Inn & Estate, and we can't wait to come back! The 1896 farmhouse is lovely and inviting, and the staff are so gracious and welcoming. We stayed in The Cedar Room and found it not only beautifully decorated but very comfortable and clean. Upon arrival friendly Sophie gave us a tour of the farmhouse and grounds, and then she showed us to our beautiful room. We were only staying for one night unfortunately, but we took advantage of everything Country Willows had to offer, especially the refreshing pool! We swam and then lounged on the tiered deck overlooking the pool, waterfall and gardens. It was sooo relaxing and just what we needed to unwind from the daily stresses of life. We came back to our room, took a short nap and got ready for an evening in downtown Ashland. After returning to Country Willows we dipped our feet in the pool and hung out listening to the waterfall. The next morning we walked the grounds checking in on the comical resident ducks at the pond and treated them to some duck food. We then headed up for breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room which had spectacular views. We visited with lovely Linda the innkeeper, chatted with her for a bit, and she gave us some history about the Farmhouse & Estate while serving us our gourmet breakfast. The Chef came around and checked on us and was a really sweet and talented guy. After finishing our breakfast it was time to pack up and relish the remaining moments of our stay. We decided to sit a spell on the upper porch in the comfy willowbranch chairs overlooking the huge willow tree and the view of the mountains. It was a beautiful morning and so relaxing. We checked out and wished we were able to stay a second night! As we were packing our car we noticed a deer laying down in the bushes just chewing on grass and hanging out by the parking area. So cute. All of this to say we felt at home here, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are planning another trip to Ashland and Southern Oregon and will most definitely be checking...
Read moreWow! We were on a road trip and stayed at Country Willow Inn for one night. I wish we could have stayed longer. It's got all the comforts! An amazing bed, luxurious sheets, fireplace, country view, beautiful huge tub for soaking with mineral bath, plenty of room, and there is a kitchenette in the room, but I didn't really use it because we were there one night. It's like the owners know what you will appreciate and put it in the room. So much better than any other B&B I've been to, because of the thought that went into it. We had booked 2 rooms in the main house, but were upgraded to 2 suites 😮. Our kids (son and daughter-in-law) were trying to insist they didn't need such an awesome room LOL. We insisted they accept it. And then we went the few blocks into downtown Ashland, to an Indian restaurant, called Taj, for dinner. Wonderful, super tasty food (and no sugar added). Back to the Inn for a quiet, luxurious evening. And in the morning we walked up a very short pathway to breakfast. I was glad they kept their Christmas decorations up into January. It was beautiful, festive, and homey too. Breakfast was so fancy and delicious! The breakfast room is large with a lot of windows. Modern Country style (beautiful even without the Christmas decorations). The room is elevated so you can look down over the farm. We watched the deer come and eat close by while we had breakfast. Reeeeally hated to leave. Will be back! It will be for a romantic stay next time. 😍 Left a big tip...
Read moreI loved thus place so much that I hope it remains undiscovered, because if the word gets out, it will always be completely booked! Nine wonderful lodging options, each one a unique and welcoming artistically decorated space. Ours was the Cottage.Soft beds, muted green and white colors in the two room suite, a deep shower/tub in the large private bathroom, and a private porch table with a view of the pond where frogs chattered at night and birds visited all day. Early spring, so countless daffodils and blossoming trees colored the lush gardens and generous pathways around the pool, gazebo, and guest houses. An amazing place for a wedding party, or a writers retreat. Oh, and the Breakfast! It is indeed a B&B with an exceptionally beautiful breakfast room. Our first morning, the owner (I think) Linda greeted us with a yogurt granola parfait, followed by a whipped cream fruit salad and the best avocado toast and scrambled eggs, serve yourself coffee/tea/hot chocolate and the best homemade scone I have ever tasted. On morning two, Hayden the chef brought out a perfect chili soufflé after the delectable scones and a fruit salad lightly spiced with lemon and cinnamon. And somebody figured out it was my birthday and left me a sweet Happy birthday message on our breakfast table. Its the style and quality that touches my heart about this place, and the low price for jt all that makes me want to brag but keep it a secret. so, now you know....
