Joy Hand Painted Silk — Local services in Ashland

I’ve encountered this woman many many times while shopping in Ashland. Without fail every single time I’ve encountered her she has been mocking and belittling minimum wage employees who are only trying to do their jobs, the other day she made a cashier slowly spell out her name multiple times because apparently he didn’t type it into the computer fast enough (she even made a backhanded comment about his racial background) She is the definition of a Karen and I hope that if you really want to support a small local business you choose any of the other kindhearted and hardworking individuals who genuinely need the money and business. This woman is absolutely evil and no amount of posting ‘Namaste’ is gonna change who she is on the inside. If it weren’t for the fact that she made this poor young man spell out her name several times while belittling him and his work I may have not even found her business, but I’m very glad I was able to shed some ‘light’ as to who this woman truly is ;)

I absolutely love my Iris ruana. It's gorgeous and so meaningful. Joy is an absolute delight to work with. She met with me on the phone to make sure my ruana design was exactly how I wanted it. I am using it as a prayer shall as I got ordained in it. Since I am Jewish, she was also able to add slits so I could add Tzitzit. I HIGHLY recommend her. I am looking forward to buying more to also wear as fashion. I love how it comes with a matching silk bag for storage.
