Quality Inn & Suites — Hotel in Auburn

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This was supposedly remodeled, when you enter the building looks like front desk was remodeled and they may have laid new carpets in the hallway. Once we entered our room is smelled terribly, the rugs were dingy and I refused to walk barefoot in the room, the bathtub was disgusting there was mold on the tiles and we refused to shower as the tub was was grimy and the water didn’t drain. Then vending machines take your money but they don’t vend the products purchased. We went to the desk to complain and they advised they have nothing to do with the vending machines so they couldn’t give us back our money. When we complained about our bathroom they offered to move us to a new room. The new room was worse than the first. We left this hotel to visit family and came back and when we came back into the lobby it reek of weed. The continental breakfast is prepackaged muffins, bagels, cereal or yogurt and prepackaged waffles. Econolodge/Quality Inn here have the same manager. LOOK AT THE HOTEL RESPONSE TO ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS. THEY NEVER MAKE THINGS RIGHT. THEY ONLY DEFEND THEMSELVES (implying that customers are crazy unless the review is positive). I booked a same-day reservation through a 3rd party based on inaccurate information given by a male/female employee at this location concerning the check-in time. I asked the General Manager (Sam) to refund, change dates or offer any help within 1 HOUR of making the reservation and was told they would just keep my money. She (Sam) was extremely rude. The third party stated that they would issue a refund if the hotel released the funds but Sam refused to release the funds or direct my concern to the owner of this franchise. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS FRANCHISED LOCATION. This is the worst customer service I have ever received from a hotel. RUN AWAY! They kept my money and I never stayed at their property.
