I have stayed in this hotel 2 times before during company events. I really enjoyed my stays and the location was great. Staff were great. I booked a room for my wife and I to attend a family members wedding in Dripping Springs, an hour away. I booked this hotel because of previous experiences and the price was a little less than other locations closer to the event. I paid for my room ahead of time. When I arrived today, I was told they charge $10 per night for parking and I'm staying 2 nights. That adds $20 to my bill which puts it the same price as a closer hotel. I was told this was a brand new charge they just started at all of their hotels. If that's the case, I'm done with Hilton anything. There is no added security to the parking lot, no additional convenience, nothing to justify the cost. Hilton, just add it to your room rates so you don't deceive people on your pricing anymore. Yes, you will be the same price as everyone else, no longer a better value, especially since breakfast is $13 for the buffet and who knows how much for anything off the menu. No. The other guys provide at least a muffin or cereal, and "free" parking. No, I'm not mad about the price, I'm mad about the deception. I paid an amount that should have included parking, or at least gave me a notice up front before I paid. No, I paid, got a confirmation, confirmed check in and even selected my room with a digital key, only to not get the digital key, but a message that said see the front desk to confirm some info. Yea, pay the rest of the fees to stay here. After Sunday checkout, I will be done with any Hilton brands. I have enjoyed many stays with you, not just in Cedar Park, but Katy, Richardson and a few others as well including Gulf Port, MS. Only issue i ever had before this was my room in Gulf Port flooded due to heavy storms blowing in around the window, and I was given a few extra towels to slow it.
So, be advised! If you are planning to stay here, they charge for parking! Its not in the price. Its extra. So add that to your room rate if you are comparing prices.
EDIT: Hilton made it right for me. As you can see in the follow up, they did an excellent job making it right. I very much appreciate their response. They mentioned that they would like to talk with me more, and when I get the chance, I will call them. That being said, I will reconsider my decision to search for accommodations elsewhere. Because of the customer service, kindness of all the hotel staff and experience I had during my stay, I will always choose the Hilton when booking hotels from now on. Everyone here was kind and welcoming, going above and beyond for my boyfriend and I in order to make our stay amazing. We flew in from Washington state under stressful circumstances, as our Airbnb host had cancelled our room an hour before we landed, and had to scramble looking for a room in Austin during the F1 race weekend. We found our home in this Hilton Garden Inn, and could not have been happier with our stay. From the time we checked in to the time we left, we were impressed with the food, hospitality of the staff and convenience of the location. The hotel staff were always willing to give us recommendations on where to go, eat and see during our time in Austin and San Antonio. The hotel itself is about a 15-20 min drive to downtown Austin on toll roads, offers free parking and is close to shopping centers like HEB and Target, perfect for picking up last minute items we forgot, or shopping for snacks and lunch to bring to the F1 track. Our room was beautifully furnished, and a perfect place to come back to unwind and relax. They also do their best to minimize their environmental impact by offering options to reduce linen washing and bringing room service in compostable containers. I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cedar Park, Austin, Texas, and had a truly fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. Being away for an extended period can be challenging, but their warmth and hospitality made the time pass with ease.
A special shoutout to Miss Sarah, Sandra, Neo, Chrissy, and Autumn who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Their kindness and genuine care made all the difference—they didn’t just provide great service; they became friends and family during my time in Texas.
The room was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the housekeeping team did an outstanding job keeping everything fresh and tidy throughout my stay.
